View Full Version : Pictures & Power Vision

I just got off the phone with a CSR who coulden't really answer my question so I'm hoping someone can help me out here.

I had the PowerVision plan $15.00 package for the last 8 months and I've been able to send upload recieve pictures. Yesterday when trying to send a picture I got a message saying that I needed to upgrade to the 5.00 Picture Package in order to send. This didn't make any sense to me because all I had was the PowerVision $15.00 package. So I added it to send the picture, and today I called CS and asked why that happened. She kept repeating that there were no changes made til I added the picture plan yesterday, but what she didn't understand that I DID NOT have the picture plan for the past 8 months and I was still able to upload/send/recieve pictures. I could have sworn the $15.00 package gave me SOME access to the picture function, when I checked it yesterday it didn't.

So, did something change on the PowerVision plan or am I going crazy? It feels like I'm going crazy. :scare:

Can anyone help me shed some light on this issue, please?

The $15 Power Vision Access Plan does not include picture mail or video mail by default.

Are you sure your Power Vision Plan wasn't changed on you by accident? Otherwise, I would ask the same question, how were you able to send pictures for the past eight months without extra charge on a plan that doesn't include picture mail to begin with?

I really don't know lol. I never had a picture plan for the past 8 months, just the $15.00 one. Seriously. Maybe I slipped through some cracks or something, my statement always stayed the same, Pictures Pack was never mentioned on it.
Oh well... I guess I'll have to switch to the $20.00 package now. The contract ends next month, maybe I can try my luck on getting an SERO plan.

yes, for sure actually switch to the 20 dollar plan. i lost my picture mail when i switched to powervision phone and they did a straight $15 vision to $15 powervision.(we are different in that i did not go anytime without charges.when i selected the $5 picture mail just as you did, i then had(and still do) a $15 powervision plan with a $5 picture mail add on and am losing any of the $20 powervision plan benifits(sprint tv and a free music download a month).i'll get around to changing it soon

If you switched from Vision to Power vision and kept the same username during that time it might of just taken a while to catch up to you.

Yup, especially since it happened to me too... :irked:
When I went from grandfathered ol $10 unlimited vision, yeah the ORIGINAL ONE, to the powervision plan because the usual, ya heard it 100s times here already, since I got a sanyo 9000 last march 06. That $15 powervision had (has?) pics and video included, but not now, grr. So Jan 2007 they decided to pull a fast one and try to get another $5 from some they contracted with last year, by using some 'we can change your plan' fine print. Well that is a mistake on their part, for sure. And when ya catch sprint with a mistake, that means, that's right, free stuff. Call da retention line or e-care 1-4 (not cs) and gripe. And don't ever forget, get it in writing :deal: Minimum they should do is give ya free picture mail, the $5 add-on. The step up to the $20 includes 1 song d/l so they may no go for it, just ask for a BIG % off or flat $5 off the top, making the change free.

Indeed. Switching to the $20 PV Plus Pack will allow you to maximize your dollar! :tu:

Wait, I'm sorry....With the $20 PV plan you get a free music download a month? For real? From where, the music store? When did this start?

Perhaps a call and explanation to Account Services can get your picture mail and video mail charge waived. I would explain your frustration of loosing your grandfathered vision without your knowledge and if you had known you probably would not have upgraded your phone. There are many reps that are willing to work with you and make things right.

Good Luck! :)

All new PV Plus Plans receive one free music download per month from the Sprint Music Store; the PV Ultimate Pack receives four free music downloads per month from the Sprint Music Store as well. :)

If you are on an older PV Plan, you may need to call in and get your plan switched to the most recent one to take advantage of the download credit. This has been in effect for a while now...At least since the end of October.

That's awesome I didn't know that! I just downloaded my free song! I love this song...but there's no way I can get it to go on my iPod right? It's locked in wma format only?

I believe the built-in DRM prevents you from using the song elsewhere. I would double check to make sure your plan includes the free song download. As mentioned in my previous post, you may need to upgrade your plan to the most recent PV plan to take advantage of the free music download.

Enjoy! :)

I did see next to the song it said it was a free download, up until a certain date. After I downloaded it, I saw prices on all the other songs, so it looks as all is cool! Thanks for your help! Just wish I could do something with that song and iTunes!

I did see next to the song it said it was a free download... Just wish I could do something with that song and iTunes! You can. For every song you get on Sprint Music you are permitted to download it to a PC one time too. Then just drop in onto iTunes. To download it go to your Sprint account>Digital Lounge>Music>Click Here To See Your Music.

The New $15 Plan Does Not Include It (so I Was Told By Cs)

But The Old Basic Plan Should . So If You Still Have The Old One It Should Be Included!!!!!!!!
