I've had the same number for almost two years, and no problems when it comes to texting; however, a few minutes ago, I got two text messages, one from "48000" telling me to enter my "thumbplay password online, or reply Y for 10 BONUS downloads plus 10 more each month, for 9.99"
A few seconds later, I got another message, from "24885", telling me to go to go.slimlizard.tv or reply GOSLIM or to enter some PIN" and that it's ALSO 9.99/mo.
Now, I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about either of these services, or has been getting similar messages. I could see someone maybe subscribing and entering their number wrong online, but I got both of these within SECONDS of each other.
I have unlimited SMS, and I'd "guess" that if I don't respond to these messages in any fashion, that I won't be charged. Anyone have any idea in that regard?
If they keep coming in, I guess I'll have to ask sprint to block premium sms (that's what it would be for things like this, right?)
I haven't given my number to anyone, and the people who do have it, have had it for the almost 2 years I've had it, and none of them would be subscribing me to this kind of junk.
Any insight, or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks.
