Hi.* I just wanted to share with everyone the weird problem I am having.

I am to access the web on my Axim x51v ppc when tethered (with bluetooth) to my Fusic.* However when I try accessing the web on the handset it's self (after disabling bluetooth and turning off the axim) I repeatedly get error 67 Registration Failure.*

I called Tier 2 EVDO/Vision support the nice lady had me verify the password, Primary IP and Secondary IP addresses along with the username.* I continued to get error 67.* So she tired reseting the password by going thru ##DATA# still the same.* So finally she put in a trouble ticket.* Which she explained should take no more than 36 hours.

While I wait for a resolution to this difficulty I was wondering if anyone here knew what could be causing the Error 67 Registration Failure despite having the correct password, username and IP address.*

do you have PAM (phone as modem) plan with your Fusic?

me234 - Welcome to Sprint Users! :wavey:

As far as I know, you need to have a PAM plan to tether with the newer phones. Even if you find a way to tether without a plan don't be suprised when you get your next bill.

Sorry for the pointless post...It sounds like you got the problem fixed, but here is the meaning behind Error 67 for future reference:

What does error 67 mean?
This is the third most common error. It means the login information in your phone has been rejected by Sprint's authentication servers. The best thing to do is try again. If that does not work, turn the phone off, then back on, and try again. If that does not work, call data support.

Updating the Vision Profile is also a good troubleshooting step. 'Menu/Settings/(Power) Vision/Update Profile'

Do not constantly re-try to connect with an error 67, this can worsen the problem by locking your username out for too many incorrect attempts. The lockout generally lasts for 20-30 mins, but can be longer, depending on how many times the user tries to re-connect. Again, calling data support is the most effective way of resolving this error. The other thing you can try with your phone if you receive authentication related errors:

Disable vision, turn off/on the phone

Re-enable vision, download profile (eg update profile).

Then turn the phone off and on one more time.

This is the steps taken with my A920 to get it to reset to the right memory area in the handset. The A920 model is notorious for bluetooth tethering issues. When the session disconnects it almost always will reset to the wrong memory area in the phone (after just a couple months of having the phone it began doing this).

EDIT: forgot to add I ended up taking the handset into the sprint store locally, wound up on the phone with a senior tier2 technician troubleshooting the handset myself in the store (since the reps there didn't have the ability to troubleshoot bluetooth issues).
