I know this topic has been discussed so many times. There is yet to be a clear answer on what is the outcome.

If you have a normal vision plan, and upgrade to a power vision phone, I heard you can keep your normal vision plan on the power vision phone with slower speeds.

Other people say you have to be forced into swtiching to a power vision plan? Which one is it?

Also, let me know what your expereince was if you went from a normal vision phone to a power vision phone?

Hi......I upgraded my phone 2 weeks ago and the rep told me that she had to cancel my regular vision and I would have to take the $15.00 power vision plan if I wanted to keep a vision plan on my phone.Hope this helps :wavey:

From what I understand, if you have a PowerVision plan and are in a EVDO enabled area, you'll get PowerVison speed no matter if you are paying for Vision or PowerVision.

It seems that most people who upgrade to a PV phone are told that they have to get a PV plan. But I have seen instances where people somehow kept their old plans. Don't know how they managed that - maybe they just did a phone swap and didn't touch their plans plus they got a rep that let them do it.

From what I've seen in the billing system, you do not have to change to a PowerVision plan when switching to a PowerVision phone. They might have been faking an upsell, and that is why it was switched, Or maybe they were just ignorant.

When I got my A920 over a year ago, I had Vision on my account for over 6 months and was able to access the with EVDO speeds. In fact, when I went to the Sprint Vision site, it was the Sprint Power Vision Home page. I was also able to tether my laptop until they implemented the Modem NAI feature last February. Once I disabled the Modem NAI I continued to tether my laptop without any problems.

Then in May my company finally upgraded to a unlimited PAM plan to make it 'legal'.

Regards,

Tom
