View Full Version : Not that impressed with the M1 :(

I'm not that impressed with the M1, if I had to pay for it I'd be really upset, glad I got it free.
I'm almost considering keeping my 9K.
Don't get me wrong, the M1 is nice phone, but ...... the 9K was the nutz.
Why I am keeping the M1?
I already purchased the BT mirror off of Ebay
I already purchased the BT headset (Moto H7)
I already purchased the extended battery
To be honest, if the 9K had BT there'd be no way I'd get rid of it. The sad part is I have two brand spankin new 9000's (one with a 1GB card and one with a 2GB card) and one old busted 9K that still works just has a few "Battle scars" or is "Well Experienced".
The speaker is good on the M1, but doesn't compare to the 9K.
Camera is definately better, haven't played with the vid yet.
The screen on the 9K is bigger and I don't care if it's only .2 bigger, you can see the difference.
I wish I didn't spend all that money on the mirror, headset and battery. CRAP!

Yes, what's a BT mirror, and how did you get it for free?

Oh boy not another "not impressed M1" thread. I do miss a few things about the 9000 but I have moved on. I much rather have the more compact phone then have a big flip phone with a tad bigger main display, but that's just me. I'm happy with the M1 and plan on keeping it for awhile. Couldn't you just return/sell everthing make a profit? I thought I remember you saying awhile ago you didn't even care about bluetooth. I guess you might have changed your mind.
Pic not working nino.
Edit - Now it is.
Oh the BT rearview mirror.

Wow, that thing is awesome. I had no idea about those. Do they work pretty well?
One of my clients has one. To me it seems more of a hassle than a help.

The Bluetooth mirror is like the one showed up in the thread. I didn't get it yet, a friend has one and it kicks butt! No looking at the phone, the number just pops up on the rearview and you can set it to autoanswer. I didn't see any problems with it, it worked flawlessly and even has a speakerphone built in.
How did I get the M1 for free? My 9000 was still under warranty, called customer service, who noted the account, called lockline who noted the account, then called retentions and made a friggin riot. Main arguement is that my phone is under warranty and cost over 400 when new, and it should be replaced. After a few minutes, they caved and gave it to me free.
I didn't care about bluetooth, because I never experienced it. Now, that I looked into it, I GOTTA HAVE IT!

The M1 isnt way better IMO but is new and different from the typical Sanyo. Why not use both, I do.

You're the one cramming your opinion down others' throats.

it really doesn't matter what i tell you, you're too stubborn to think beyond your own opinions. "better" is subjective. if someone likes the 9000 over the M1, he has that right. maybe it feels better in his hand. maybe he likes the screen more. or the external memory card slot. or he likes the keypad more. whatever. it doesn't really matter, because it's his opinion. remember, what's important to you in a phone may not even matter to another person. and vice versa.
oh, and kudos on slamming my old phone. a winner is you.

This has nothing to do with the thread, but why hasnt "9000 Baby" been banned? He has nothing constructive to offer, all he does is go from thread to thread bashing people and other phones (its one thing to like your phone but no need to go to every thread and post how yours is better...)
Shall I close this?
Keep it on track 9000 Baby. I understand that you have your opinion, but keep in mind that it is only your opinion and does not reflect that of every other user on this planet. You can think less of people for not agreeing with you, but you're starting to grate peoples nerves with your opinion and continual degrading of their own. Live and let live ya know.

I missed the show last night. Really this thread should've been closed right away since there is already a BIG thread about peole that are not impressed with the M1. Also I'm sure that there are plenty of people that didn't mind paying full price for the M1. Look back at the first Sprint camera phone. I think it was a Sanyo 5300 and it sold for $400. It did come with a regular and extended battery but didn't have near the features the M1 has. I think some people just need to change carriers because there never going to be happy with Sprints phones.
