what are you planning to do? Trying to transfer files from computer to phone or trying to use phone as a modem for internet?

I haven't found the USB drivers and I got tired of looking but it did dawn on me that the bluetooth has OBEX and I have a bluetooth adapter on my computer for the Logitech setup. It works great but isn't the fastest thing. Wish I could find those drivers for the USB though. If you can try using the bluetooth and it doesn't matter, USB or bluetooth, they'll both work as a modem from what I understood.

i really want to back up everything ...from my other phone..8300 and then put it on my M1 but I can't cause the drivers aren't made for the M1 yet so its not connecting to it..I have bluetooth on my laptop. I send stuff but it takes like forever. and I don't like to mass storage *might miss a call*

I wonder when the drivers will be updated to accommodate the M1

You don't need the drivers. I found this out the other day. Hook up the phone and then open the phone and a menu should pop up.

my xp install menu pops up, but then it says it can't find the driver.

Just go to Tools-> USB Connection-> Mass Storage and you should be able to drag and drop from there.

Works with pictures, music, etc. Won't work with contacts (I believe), but those can be BT'd, using wireless backup, or going to the store. BitPM still doesn't support the M1 (:irked:), so I can't think of any other solution for contacts, dates, reminders, etc.

I got the drivers from sprint when I installed the connection manager. For some reason it trys to install again every single time I plug the phone in, kind of a pain. so I was able to get all my old contacts from Nokia PC Suite. I pasted them into my Palm desktop software and exported them as one vcf file. I put that into the phone through the usb and imported all of them from file management. They imported fine. Except the pictures. I haven't figured that out.

I think that a disclaimer to state that they won't guarantee that the software will work. My menu always allows me to keep going.
