I've been using SlySoft CloneDvdMobile, and it's been working like a charm. I don't think it offers the flexibility of using quicktimepro, but it's very easy to use. The only downside, is that it only converts from DVD, not from regular media files.

good luck

Acala 3GP Movies Free is what i use.simple to use, default settings work great.no knowledge of converting needed.i have converted many 1 gig avi movies to 100 to 200 meg.. just start program click on the + sign at the bottom to navigate to the folder on pc that contains movie files.note where the program saves the output to.(c:/acala3gmovies).leave frame size at 176x144.this allows the phone to go full screen when pushing * button during playback on phone.stuttering can occur if you select 320x240.http://www.download3000.com/download_15741-19333.html

Ok, that's awesome. I never knew you could flip the display size with just one button. I've been going into the menu each time, total pain since it blocks what I'm watching while I do it.

Thanks for the tip!

Acala 3GP Movies (#) Free is what i use.simple to use... http://www.download3000.com/download_15741-19333.htmlThat link sends you to a page thwhere you can pull free-wma-mp3-converter.exe from two sites:
http://www.jodix.com/downloads/free-wma-mp3-converter.exe
http://www.wma-mp3.org/free-wma-mp3-converter.exe

Unfortunately, neither work. If you have that file, would you PM me so I can give you an email address to which to attach it?

Quicktime Pro can convert avi and mp3 files to mp4 or 3g2, however, it doesn't handle wma files. I have done wma-mp3 with GraphEdit, which is free, but it isn't very intuitive. GraphEdit can be found at http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/audio-extract.htm. Thanks.

I use Quicktime (http:///#) Pro to convert vids to the .3g2 format. When you convert to mp3 (http:///#) by exporting from Quicktime (http:///#) Pro, in Options, use a data rate (http:///#) of 125kbits/sec. That will yield a 3g2 data rate (#) of 15+ KB, which will permit it to play smoothly. Also check the Preserve Aspect Ratio box and select Crop. I've ripped segments of movies from DVDs and reduced them to 3g2 for my 8400.

rechecked the link and does work.a alternative to try is http://www.download3000.com/download-Acala_3GP_Movies_Free-count-reg-15741.html remember to click on the security bar.it will start your download(says to help protect your security internet explorer has blocked this site from downloading file, please click for options) if you are using xo with service pack 2 to start the download.otherwise pm with a e mail to sent file too if still experiencing problems.
