I had a real address from a real employee but why wouldn't someone just google "@sprint.com" and get one that way if they were hard up?

Most of those googled ones don;t work anymore. Probably maxxed out.

Okay - I think I'm losing my mind. I decided to do the Sero thing with the Pantech card and I go to the website, choose the card, and then there's nothing to click on to actually put in an order. I've tried it with both savings@sprint.com and with openaccess@sprint.com. And I've tried it with both Firefox and IE. Would somebody else give it a try and see if they can get it to work! TIA - sheureka

Works for me. If you can't get the site to work, call 866-274-9478 and give them Call Code: 153113, then place your SERO order online.

LMAO ! Now do you all remember how EVERYONE had their panties all up in a bunch about this plan ? Saying how Sprint was losing soooo much money over SERO, and that SERO accounts were being audited, and if you had a SERO account you were just a horrible person ? WELL.... evidently it must not be too big of a deal after all.

LOL... Sprint says, " come get you some sero baby ! "

I just received SERO. I did it over the phone. I had to go through a couple service reps until I found one that didnt insist that I apply over the web. When I tried to use the address he123321 gave me, they kept insisting that that employee had to start the service for me?? Then when I explained Sprint had offered SERO to everyone until Dec 31, that seemed to cause a mental meltdown of the CS I was speaking to. After a few call back's, I got someone who knew a little of what to do, and got it all straitened out. Only problem was N/W was supposed to start at 7pm, but on my web account it shows 9pm. That shouldnt be a problem to deal with.

I just got off a 1 hour phone call with the nicest sprint rep I have ever ran across. She was able to switch my plan over by the end of the call. I checked my account online and it shows me paying 30.00 for the 500 plan, unlimited power vision, sprint to sprint etc. The only issue I noticed is that it shows that I am still being charged 5.00 for 7pm nights and weekends. I am sick of being on the phone so I'll call back tomorrow to try and get that changed. If anyone has any questions about exactly how I went about doing this feel free to pm me or reply to this post. I sincerely think that the success of changing your plan to sero if your an existing customer depends on the representative you speak to, i lucked out.

Same here...took a few calls, but finally got the SERO plan. I just got off the phone. CS was able to fix the N/W to 7pm for me.

For anybody who gets stuck seeing 9pm N/W:

The rep you had dealt with ended up adding in the wrong plan, call them up and get them to do some "scrolling" on their page (there's duplicates as sero used to be 9pm nights, sprint added in new sero plans that are the 7pm nights, I had to mention it to one or two of the reps myself after the first one mentioned they had duplicates).

Absolutely Correct! I'd like to know how many people have Sero now. Do any of our Sprint employee members know? Care to share with the class? :)

When you "grow" your customer base by "only" 200,000 in one quarter, the investors get woried.

Sprint needs to get a ton of new customers by 12/31 to look good on paper, and this is how they are doing it!

Sprint will increase their customer base, but decrease their ARPU.

If your plan shows a $5 charge for 7pm nights, you may have a "hidden" credit to offset that charge.

That is a great offer, Sprint needs to go after more subs, like Dan said to get more investors. Just wish SERO would offer more shared plan. I hate paying two different bills.

The main page says that roaming is not included, but the plan details page has roaming included in the offer. The flyer has 7pm till 7am nights monday to thursday and 9pm friday till 7am monday weekends. Its to bad spint doesnt actually proof read what they sell!

Thanks OP! I called Sprint this AM and fortunately got a hold of a Salt Lake City rep. My plan was switched over in less than 10 minutes! He said it would be effective on the 1st of January and had NO PROBLEM switching me over. I did get his name and ID # in case I have problems.

I couldn't be happier! I'm now a SERO customer and didn't have to lie, cheat or steal! :)

Analog roaming isn't included.
Digital Roaming is.

Analog roaming isn't included.
Digital Roaming is.

For most SERO customers that should not even be a worry. If you get an EV-DO handset you can't roam with an analog signal anyway. Anyway, does analog roaming cost Sprint more in the end compared to digital roaming or what was the reasoning for removing analog roaming from the service plans?

jumonjii
12-30-2006, 11:38 AM
Maybe because analog is old technology......

I ended up calling and changing my order to the Novatel S720 because there seems to be a problem with using the Pantech with a router. I also ordered a Kyocera router from Kyocera - there's a 15% discount plus a $50 rebate so that brings the router down to $179. The rebate's only good through tomorrow, so if anyone else is thinking of doing something like this now would be a good time. - sheureka

Sorry bout your luck and the roaming. I ALSO have SERO, a different plan, and roaming IS included in the plan I have HOWEVER, here is the DIRECT QUOTE from the SERO sign up site:

** Off network roaming is not included with this plan

BUT, when you examine the plan here is also what you will find:

Roaming Charge $0.00/min - Included

So THIS SERO plan MAY or MAY NOT include roaming! BE AWARE! (This is kinda typical of Sprint - and also be aware that you may be assured something is included, only to have it jerked back from you! This has happened to me.)

jumonjii
12-30-2006, 09:29 PM
Have you roamed and been charged?

I have roamed, and was not charged.

With all the roaming agreements between carriers, it's almost impossible to be "off network", you will more than likely be in the "extended network".

Digital or analog does not seem to matter. I've had SERO since last February and have never been charged for roaming no matter whether my screen shows "Digital Roam" or "Analog Roam". My bill always says "Reminder Because you selected an America Plan, roaming calls are treated just like normal voice calls." There is no break-down of roaming minutes into "Digital" or "Analog" on my bill.

SERO would do so much better - not that it is not doing good now - if they had a family plan. Something like $50 for 1000 mins w/ unlim texts and vision, etc... as an added bonus for signing up for SERO Family!!!

I tried on December 30th to sign up using 'savings@sprint.com', but my order was canceled the next day. So on the 31st I tried again, and still didnt work. I did not know about openaccess@sprint.com, but savings@sprint.com seemed to work until my order was canceled. Does anybody know what is going on? I even went to the store and got an employees business card, but will just putting in his email w/o him knowing work for me anyways? Or should I call CS about this? Thanks!
