Has anyone noticed that when you receive a text message (that is short) and you click the down button or any button, click end, that you still have an icon for the text message? This is really annoying because sometimes I do not respond to texts and my icon is still there after viewing the texts. Any solutions or secret keys?

Its easier if you hit ok then end because it'll ask you if you want to save when you press end if you hit reply

speaking on icons on the M1...how come it doesn't distinguish between a text message and a voicemail. on my katana (before the upgrade) it used to have a V or T next to the icon or even V-T.

It seems to be a hit or miss with Sanyo these days. Some of the phones are able to distinguish between the two... some aren't.

Yeah, I actually have to go hunting for what the icon is telling me!! Is it a voicemail, a picture mail, a text, what the heck!?

My 7500, which I have had a year, and yes it's driving me nuts... doesn't tell me which messages I have. So usually I assume that it's voicemail that I never check. I probably have about 20 messages waiting for me right now... messages that are most likely useless. I just erase all of them once I hear the first 3 digits of the phone number.

your 'missed alerts' menu will tell you what type of message it is

Give it a whirl and see ;)

you can hit OK, and then end, and the icon is gone
