I just purchased the pink Katana (and unfortunately paid $300 for it because I didn't want to sign another contract)
I am having major second thoughts and think I'm going to return it. Any other phones you'd suggest that are comparable or just good phones??

What did u dont like about the Katana, I like them and I have two of them, but the phone is expensive for a simple slim Vision phone. The M500 is PV and have bluetooth and is less expensive that what u paid for the Katana. Also M1 is a good phone, so does the M610. What type of phone are u looking for?

I like the Katana, it's a cute phone, but not enough phone for the $300 that I paid for it. The standard ringtones are fairly loud, but the music tones are so low I've missed several calls and have only had the phone 2 days. I was looking to spend about $200-250 and if possible have an mp3 player, maybe the a920.
The a640 is a little cheaper and for $179 it's not too bad for just a camera phone.
I just regret spending $300 on "just a phone".
Any suggestions for phones under $200 and well worth it, please let me know. I'll look into the 3 you suggested right now.

I've narrowed my choices down to either the a640, or a920.
WHat's my best choice here?

i was really excited about the Katana when it came out! It was so sleek and stylish. Only until recently when i went to purchase one, did i change my mind.
No EVDO. I decided that I wanted EVDO so the katana wouldnt work. Why they made this phone without it i dunno.
I was about to buy the M1, then realized that TeleNav Service is not currently compatable with it, so there goes that!
Then to the Samsung M610.
Now there is a phone worth putting your money into.

I would definately suggest the MM8400. I have had this phone for a month now and it kicks absolute ass!! :)

I will recommend u the A920, It is a solid performer. Good reception, MP3 player, EVDO, Customizable Phone as a modem (PAM) option, Excellent Sound Music, Clear Earpiece. Sanyo 8400 speaker sound is not better than the A920, no option for PAM. A920 battery life is good, not great. Between the A920 and the 8400, 8400 is a little thinner than the A920, it weights a little less than the A920, and reception is Sanyo quality, but A920 is close to it. A920 is a better music player, has exterior media control and Excellent Sound Quality for which I will pick the A920 over the 8400, but this is only my opinion.

I ended up with the a640. It's just a phone and a camera, all I need. I was going to get the a920, but changed my mind last minute, money's running low because of Christmas. I need to be sure I can play the mp3's right from the phone, I heard you need to log on to the web to hear them. There's another long list of charges.....
Tax time is coming, I'll treat myself then....

If are talking about the a920, u dont need to conect to the wep to listen music, the phone has a dedicated media player. But any ways the a620 is a good dhone
