So I got my M1 a few days ago and I must say.. im impressed.. just not completely impressed..
Looks: From the outside and insided my personal opinion is the phone looks nice. Not as classy as the m610 but not bad at all.
Build Quality: This is where the M1 falls short... The build quality is pretty bad for a phone. It feels cheap and flimsy.. all parts of it from the overall plastic casing to the internal and external buttons. My biggest Gripe has to be the hinge when closed.. It wiggles quite a bit as if i could break it off
Feel: Some people say looks build quality and feel are the same thing.. well not to me... Where as it feels it bit cheap it fits great in the hand. Feels better to hold something thick rather than thin in my opinion. Not to wide and the keypads very tactile feedback is nice. I'm not fully sure if i like the outside keypad
Screens: The external is large but its a shame it doesn't display if your phones on ringer or vibrate. The inside is beautiful going from the a900 to Fusic to the M1 it feels great to back with a Qvga screen.
Ear piece and Speaker: The ear piece is all right to me. Not impressive but something i can live with. The speaker though is just great loud and clear except maybe the highest volume.
Camera: I love the camera.. but there are some gripes... The phone will take absolutely great pictures.. if you have the proper lighting. During the day the pictures come out great. But during night or inside somewhere with low lighting I find the pictures to lose quite a bit of quality. But I cant really complain since its the best camera I've had on one of my phones so far.
Reception: Not bad all much better than my fusic.
Features: Its got EVDO and all those nice things. Nothing it really lacks in this department.
Battery: The battery has been great. Not Fusic length but today it came off the charger at 6 am and I texted quite a bit and some calls and other power draining features and it warned me of low battery at 11:30
Bugs: I haven't noticed too many bugs besides the whole plugging it on vibrate and it goes to silent. My personal experience is putting it on power save and a few hours later it freaks out doesn't let me really do anything so i have to reset it.
Overall: Overall its a great phone. Im giving it a 9/10. Comparing it to the a900. The a900 wins in looks, build quality and screen but thats about it, everything else it fell short in. Versus the Fusic... The M1 wins in screen, camera, reception, and earpiece. So in the end i would say the a900 beats the fusic.. but the M1 beats the a900. I love the phone but remember.. This is my personal preference. Don't go getting this phone because i love it.
