To make a long story short -- I was offrered a kilelr deal on a phone back in July when I renewed the contract -- the rep ended up giving me bad info that led me to believe that that phone wasn't compatible with my plan -- as a result I got another phone instead. I just found out that the info that the rep gave me that caused me to pick the other phone was erroneous. I contacted E-care about the issue, they said they would help me -- but since the rep didn't type in the offer that she offered me that very day, that they won't be able to work with me at all..... is there any way i could have a shot at getting the initial deal offered to me?
Thanks,
Matt!

Contact executive services with the details and how you were accidently mislead, if they don't honor the agreement.......contact the BBB and lodge a formal complaint.

Without anything on their end saying what the offer was, there is no way they will do anything - bummer

Retentions.......... executive services............... BBB. Sprint does most everything verbally with no paper trail unless you really push for one :(

When the rep accessed your account that day, I believe her rep id is logged.
Maybe they can back track to find out who she is.

happened to me a few times.rep has offered me stuff only to fine out that notes werent made on account when rep said they were.this is SOP with sprint.one of the negative things.tape conversations in the future and notify other party of such if the law says so.i called *2 once and explained in fine detail what was supposed to be notated and was able to get what was offered. you can try that and be sincere and courteous.

this is why i have learned not to believe anything they say about things like that lol. thats how they try to screw you and get you to get a phone other than the phone you want. any phone works with any plan. its not like oh well if you have a plan with 400min or less you can use these phones, and if you have higher than 400min you can use these phones lol

If you're geting really bogus offers, ask where they are located. If they say Rio Rancho, don't believe what they say. I get calls in saying someone offered then a Treo 700wx for free, look at the ID of the rep. that did it, trace it and always find out it's a Rio Rancho rep.

OK, maybe I need to re-read the OP, but it looks to me the agreement was honored. Got a deal on a phone, just not the phone... There is nothing to complain about... move along... or at least let's hear the long version before advising to contact the BBB. I mean it's one thing if a company is purposely pulling a bait and switch, but it's another when one rep has some bad info, or the customer just doesn't understand what they are being told/sold.

Yeah, Sprint has done this crap to me a few times as well. Especially when dealing with retentions. I was promised this and that and went over it several times with the rep. I renewed my contract over the phone and guess what? All that I was promised wasn't given. I had the reps info and even her email. I spent days on the phone with them and all they kept saying was it wasn't in my notes.
Unless Sprint starts making their reps more accountable, at the end of this contract I'm gone. It's been a good 10 years with them, but the last few have sucked.
