ok...i have my 2 year agreement done. The contract i have is $40 per month, 500 mins and sprint to sprint. and add a line is $20. Sharing the 500 mins...

Now the new plan is $60, 550 mins, no roaming, and mins starting at 7pm.

I do want to continue with sprint but i want a new phone.I know that there are ways to get free phones when you talk with representatives, but i don't know how???

If you can give me some ideas how that would be very helpful.

I wonder if they can do this, if i sign a new contract for 2years, and cancel the second line i have right now, and buy a new phone from sprint.com, for like $50, and get the same phone number that i cancelled???

PLEASE HELP

If you're out of contract, you'll want to call retention. Dial *2 and say, "Cancel." They should be able to get you a new plan and a discounted phone.

I'm not quite sure why you want the phone number you're going to cancel though. Maybe you could just have the secondary line turned into the main line instead?

I think basically he wants to keep both phone numbers, and get a free or cheap phone. He wants to retain the numbers he has used for some period of time.

To the OP:

Call *2 and say "cancel service" and ask the rep what department they are when they answer the call. Account services, retentions, gold, cancelations are all the same department!

Either way, explain that you have been a customer for a while and would like new phones at the prices being offered to new customers. Have an example of a plan and phones you can get with another carrier and ask sprint if they can get you more minutes and new phones at new customer pricing at the same or a similar price.

My suggestion is you shoot for this plan:

$50/1000 AT minutes (free and clear) with nights starting at 7pm included.

10% loyalty discount
$10 Add A Phone.

Net cost to you would be $56/month and you have 1000 minutes to use. Be willing to pay for roaming if you want it, things like that. Then pick 2 phones that you realy want and work out a fair price. You can leave sprint at any time so getting a deal on phones shouldnt be an issue.

Let us know how you do!

Your the extreme exception, not the "rule."

If the OP gets lucky he will get switched, but it seems sprint sends everyone to the SERO site to get the plan now, and the SERO site wont transfer a number from sprint to a SERO plan

"Where our customers come first!"

instead of going to the sero site to do it i just skipped to the number. 1 thing i notice when i call that number it doesnt show up as customer service like it does when i call *2. i called that number, when it asked if i was activating a new line or other i hit 2, said rep and when it asked what it was concerning i said other. the rep i got was great. she hadnt done a sero before so she put me on hold a min to find the info. the longest part of the call was being on hold while she found the info, after that she was able to switch it no problem. give it a try if you want, if they are as helpful as with me then maybe we found an easier way to get sero and a lot of people will be happy about that lol
