looking for new equiptment retentions offered 150 off new phone with no contract renewal I have no agreement. I offered to add a 2year agreement but was told 150 off was the best they can offer me. Is there anything I can do.

Of course we've heard Sprint is getting tougher when it comes to goodies, however I'd try for more. Several months ago they told me the same thing and I ended up with a pot full of credits far exceeding the cost of a PV phone. ;)

Sounds like the typical sprint run around.
On a 3rd party plan, dont expect much. You really arent making them anything with the plan, well except for advertising their product!

Honestly? No i dont think it would help. I believe they look at your last few months and what revenue you generate them on that like (next to nothing honestly) and wont want to give you alot.
Didnt the 3rd party plans used to have no contract and no discounts on phones? I heard its very recent that you could even get a discount with the 3rd party plan.

you can now but I started with no discount and still have to wait for my rebate dates. Just got unlucky and got the 8300 like 3 months before it's end of life and now it is out of date. To be honest the main reason I want an upgrade is to help me sell the newer phones

You could probably go to a 3rd party website like wirefly.com or something and add a second line.... can get a new phone that way.
Or perhaps your Sprint rep can hook you up.

Does your employer offer you anything off the price of a phone for buying directly from them? More sales for you is more sales for them also............

if your out of contract you can do what i did for my mom. i went to wirefly.com and letstalk.com and checked prices on their phones and then i called retentions (*2, say cancel if you dont already know) i told them she was looking for a new phone and wanted to see if she could get a better plan or she was looking to switch to another carrier. she got the nextel i580, sprit.com price was $250 after rebates(on sale that week for $230 though). wirefly had it for $150 after rebate(it had just came out, letstalk now has it for $100 after rebate). when i called she asked if there was a certain phone she was looking for and i told her the i580 and the sprint price and wirefly price. she ended up not only matching the wirefly price, but gave it to her for $75 with no mail in rebate. im doing the same for my stepdad trying for the i880 after jan 1st when his 22months are up.
