I have been with sprint for nearly 5 years, and had multiple phone lines on my account until I was forced to cancel a line from the person dying and not needing it anymore. I recently readded a line after having only one line for a year and a half and now,and when I went to add a 3rd line, they told me I cannot until I have had this second line for a year? I had a 2 lines for nearly 3 years, and I'm rarely, if ever late, only to be told that i'm not allowed to have a 3rd line?

Anyone have any suggestions on how I may be able to bring about a credit raise with sprint? or some other method of getting permission to add a 3rd line? I would like to get a PDA for work purposes, but, unless this is cleared up, I may not be able to do so. :indiff:

Thanks for any suggestions you have,

Sometimes they will issue a 3rd line with a 150 deposit.

You can also call *2 and tell Claire you want to cancel and tell the CSR your situation, that you love SPrint and don't want to leave them, but Verizon will do A,B,C for you....they may make you sign a new two year agreement.

I also just got my sero plans, so, I'm thinking calling retentions might not be the best, as they may call my bluff. =p

You could also call Sprint and tell them that you have this older relative of your who is having some issues and you need a 3rd line, yadda, yadda and ask them to review your credit to see if you can be bumped a credit class.

I know this trick worked on a Sprint Store rep, we did this for my friend's Grandfater and they majically got the 3rd APP for Free! No bells or whistles, but free no the less.

Or call the Credit Department

Well, that got rid of my credit limit, but, they refused to grant me another line due to my account getting suspended for a day cause the billing cycle ended a few days early and I didn't notice and it got killed while I was at work and couldn't go to pay it. lame... now I have to wait for 6 months of clean payments to attempt again, they say.

Thanks for all the suggestions, though.

Yes, sprint is all about on time payments. If you are put in a suspended mode for non-payment you will need 12 months of on time payments to get your limit bumped up.

I got approved with a $150 deposit, even though I'm constantly 1.5 hours late on my payments. That's a strange one.

1.5 HOURS? Most who have issues are constantly days late. An hour and a half may not even show up to sprints billing system.

If you pay your bill and pay the late pay fee, you dont pay "on time." If sprint isnt charging you the late pay fee you paid on time.

If you pay your bill after sprint disconnects your line, you are seriously unlikely to get approved for additional lines!

I don't recall being billed any late fees. I guess I'll have to go to sprint.com to verify it.

I spend a lot of time on here at work, sitting in my car...the sun bakes my brain so occasionally I may act like it.
