Can't you do this via wirelessbackup? I recently activate this for my 8400 and it is a great way to get information in/out of the phone.

The MM-9000 does not support Wireless Backup.
You can use BitPim to get your contacts off of a 9000.

As StarmanDX mentioned, you can use Bitpim to transfer your phonebook. I did it setting Bitpim manually and telling the program that my phone is a 3100 because the 9000 is not in the list. I downloaded everything from the phone including qcd ringtones, wallpaper/images, etc. Search on Google and u will find the program free. You have to par for data pilot.
