I have a phone currently through sprint and work for a 3rd party service provider the thing is i had sprint when i was young and stupid and any ways went to collections i have paid it off since then but i have a phone through my wifes name and wanted to know if i do a transfer of liability to me am i going to have to pay a deposit to get setup? thanks anyone that repsonds

I can't say for sure, but you might. From the sounds of it, those who complete a TOL may be required to pay a despoit to establish service.

Easiest thing to do is goto a sprint store (or possibly your own retailer) and have your sprint credit run.
From the way I understand it the line you have now is in your wifes name and you want it in your own so you can take advantage of the sprint 3rd party plan?
If the bill was paid in full and is an old debt, you may not have a problem. How is your current credit other than that old paid off debt?

Well my credit is fine now but yea my current phone is in my wifes name and we want to change it over to mine so i can take advantage of the 3rd party plan i ran it an it comes back 1 line 250 Deposit but if i run it at another carrier its instantly 4 lines no deposit i think its only like that because i had an acct go into write off

As far as I understand it, if you have ever had your credit run by Sprint, it stays in the system permanently. There is a process that you can go through in order to fix that, but I don't know what it is. :clap:

Its called speaking to retentions, explaining the situation and asking that the ICE team review the account. If you paid it off in full and now have good credit they should be able to do something.
Be prepared to tell them what carrier came back with 4 lines $0 deposit and ask for it to be reviewed.
