Looked on SU; not so much luck.

Searched via Yahoo; looks like only Treo 650's are the only reliable ones to do it. Unfortunately, I don't have a Treo 650.

So, just checking to see if anyone had any success with a non-Treo BT enabled phone. Hopefully this isn't a taboo topic or anything, just an little used/unknown thing.

Regular Dial-up Networking (DUN) via Bluetooth essentially uses a cell phone's 3G internet access (i.e. Sprint's Vision or Power Vision) and makes it possible for a second device, like a laptop or desktop, to surf the internet through the phone.

I want to use my desktop's ethernet internet access and make it available for my phone to surf with. Instead of [3G internet->phone->computer->internet], I want [Cable internet->computer->phone->internet]; hence, Reverse DUN. Slim as it may be, I wonder if anyone with any experience or the technical know-how has a clue...

that would not be reverse DUN, as cable modems do not use DUN....

what you want, is to use ICS via bluetooth on your handset...I am not sure what this would accompish on most phones, however I do not think any software exists for this on sprint phones.

I think it is possible on WM5 based devices to use ICS with the USB cable, and possibly with bluetooth on Palm OS devices.

I stand corrected; at least I sort of got my point across.

In any event, sucks to hear that- guess I'll just have to see if I can bargain down for a low-priced vision access pack instead.
