Ok, I have looked for this phone on phonescoop and it isn't there. It also isn't on Sprint's site yet it is on Samsung's site as a Sprint phone. Does anyone have experience with it? I can't even find one on eBay to get a price for it. I am thinking of getting a PDA phone as my next phone, and I like the looks of the SPH-i830 a lot more than the Treo 700wx (the faster processor and more RAM helps a lot too).

There's a comparison with the 700wx.....which was in this same forum.

If you have any questions, feel free to post it. Plus, please check our Trading Post (I have one for sale). Keep in mind, this phone retailed at $749, before being removed from Sprint's site.

Yes, although I didn't have a Bluetooth GPS to connect to it. (I noticed the option in the menus)

I have been searching for this phone (SPH-I830) for the last month and all I get is the runaround. Samsung has it listed as a Sprint phone which is a good thing because that is my carrier. Then Sprint tells me that only Best Buy will sell it exclusively, but Best Buy has no idea what I am talking about. I wrote to the Samsung people and the response made no sense. I have never had this much trouble begging a company to sell me something. Does anyone have any idea what is the deal?

It was on the Sprint website and then disappeared, apparently, because one company bought a ton of them (I wish I had a reference for you). It should be back on the Sprint website in early January.

Thanks. I saw a report about the phone on CNET about a minute ago and they were not very complimentary about the phone. Would you happen to know which is the best pda on the market?

Take CNET with a HUGE grain of salt. The reviewers generally only have the phones for a very short time and are often flat out wrong about features on a given device. Trust people on Treocentral or pdaphonehome before you trust CNET. These people are real world users, not tech reviewers who have no idea what they are doing.
