I have 800 shared anytime minutes on 4 lines (only use about 400 minutes). Only one line has 100 free texts included (Vision Pictures Pack). Free nights and weekends starting at 7PM.
Line 1 $70 Premium Vision $10 , Insurance $6
Line 2 AAP Free, Vision Pictures Pack $5, Insurance $6, 100 free texts
Line 3 AAP $10, Premium Vision $5, No Insurance
Line 4 AAP Free, Premium Vision $ 5, Insurance $6
My bill is $123 before taxes and $129.49 after.
My contract ends in June. I'm thinking I should be getting 100+ free texts on all 4 phones, more minutes, or a lower price. Am I off base?

Are you paying to much? That is up to you, if you have no problems affording what you have and you don't go over your minutes or text messages, then technicaly your are not paying to much.
Are there ways to save money... of course, you can alway call sprint and negociate a better plan and a better price.
BTW... sprint no longer does the free block of text messages with certin vision plans.

Yeah I was offered a 10% loyalty discount on my last bill (been with them for 5 years) but I'd have to sign a new 2 year contract. I don't want to lose my leverage yet.
I'm thinking of waiting until June to get retention perks and maybe a free or cheap treo. One phone is up for the $150 upgrade rebate now and the other 3 are up in April. I only want one nice phone for me :) . Two of the phones belong to my 12 and 13 year olds, and the fourth is a spare since it was free. No landline  We all have Sanyo PM-8200s.

My phone with 100 included texts was an old grandfathered vision plan. I tried last year to get free texts on the others but they wouldn't budge. Luckily the kids don't have any interest in texting. :)

Good customers will still get options added for extending their agreements.
Its not really a bad deal, and you could probably get them to throw in 500 text messages per line on renewal. Do you get a business discount? A loyalty discount?

heck i have 2 lines and my bill is $110 i think your getting a decent deal
F&F families 700 AT minutes (about 600minutes used each month) 7PM nights unlim roam PV plus on each line FIMF on both lines 1000text each line unlimited mobile to mobile TEP on each line + 10% discount

No discounts. I'm avoiding the 10% loyalty being offered because I'd have to sign a new agreement. In April, all phone will be eligible for $150 upgrade rebates.

my discount is due to my old job, its about to get replaced by a 15 or 25% by my new job (i dont know how good of a discount they get i have been told 15 and 25 by 2 diff people, ill find out when i get my first paystub and take it to the sprint store)

If you work out the plan you like now, it has no effect on the rebate status of your phones. When you upgrade your phones via rebate, you just renew for 24 months from there.
Personally, I'd ask for the loyalty discount now. After its applied, I'd ask for the credit union discount for credit union members. Generally it takes $5 deposited into a savings account to be a member and offers another 10% off. These discounts would put a nice savings onto your bill.
Asking for 500 text messages per line be included isnt asking alot either at renewal. You can renew now, push your contract date till 12/08 and then do the phones in april and push the date to 4/09 so it works out the same, but you get the plan discounts starting now.

Thanks for the advice Dan. My ultimate goal is to get one treo for $100 or less. Won't this be more likely if I wait until my contract expires in June? If I get the plan goodies now, I'll be in the beginning of a new contract and I might not have as much leverage. What do you think? One phone is ready for an upgrade now.

Personally I would wait. Sprint (at least in my case) offered the best deal when I was 2 years out of contract.
Seeing as they are overhauling everything and cutting back on what they are offering customers though, the decision is yours.
A lot can happen in 6 months.

Stop being greedy for more. Your plan is good compared to what brand new customers are paying alone just for data plans. Plus you get 4th line free and its not supposed to be.

I guess im really greedy then! Well, sprint offered me this plan and they will offer perks to good customers with high MRC, though im sure you know that.
It seems throwing in 500 free text messages is fairly common anymore ;)

I do think I'm getting a good deal. When I went to add a third line (year and a half ago) they offered me the phone for free after rebate and then told me the phones were buy one get one free plus no AAP charge for the 4th. That's how I ended up with 4 lines for 3 people!
I just wish they could add texts to my other 3 lines.
Thanks for the advice. I might just check on the going rate for treo's as an upgrade.

Per line or billed? Without calling in every month for dropped call credits on each line to save $10 per?

It could be, but if it is they either have some super secret plan or they use certain credits to maximize their discounts.

I've been paying $180 or so for 2 lines. Granted, my mother LOVES 411, which is the biggest gyp I've ever seen. I've finally gotten her to stop calling it, and start using her browser.
Since I've been on SU, however, I've been able to grab a discount or two and make the most of my phone $. I got a SERO plan, gave that one to my mom. Took her free AAP, dropped everything but the TEP and gave that to my dad. Got my Credit Union Discount on each account. Got a loyalty discount on my old account. Got a flyer discount on my old account. I will now pay less than I was for 2 phones, but be getting 3. THANKS SU!

teach her that 1-800 FREE-411 works just as well and is FREE like the name says. A annoying sponsor message, but thats it. A minute listeing to the message is cheaper than $1.40 plus airtime for sprints 411. I just got an add for "girls gone wild" and then it gave me the listing I was looking for, all voice automated.
