Okay guys,
I have searched a little bit and i know this has likely been discussed. I let me friend know about the SERO plan and got him signed up through his cousin at Sprint with a TREO 700p. Anyways, we are in the 3rd month of his plan and suddenly a $15 "PCS Business Connection" charge shows up on his account.

I've emailed ECARE twice for him and both times been told that "in order to keep internet active, you will have to pay $15. WHAT???

I know well that the Blackberry demands an additional fee on SERO, but i've never heard anyone in here talk about an additional charge on the TREO.

Its frustrating because I think the reps dont' even know what SERO is. YUCK

I'll get him to call , and we'll see. But really, what would you guys do?

I have a treo 650 with a sero plan as well. My account has been current since last november and i have never been charged for internet although once in a while they will try to double charge me. What I would do is call the billing department and let them know your concern and they should credit his account. you never know you might be able to get a service credit if the rep is in a good mood.

Your SERO plan includes Vision service. Did you select the standard (included) version or some upgrade to allow the full use of things like sprint TV?

If your just on a standard plan, you most likely need to call *2 about it. eCare of late seems to be giving more and more "canned" answers :(

I'd call *2, ask for tech support, choose the option for an advanced device and go from there. I'd bet someone put you on a pay plan by mistake. Tech support should be able to get it straightened out.

sounds to me like someone added sprint BC on the phone when they were playing with the phone but that is what it sounds like to me

They should be able to resolve this if you call customer care. If the first rep doesn't fix it, be polite, hang up. Call back immediately.

Never be rude to the representative. Keep in the back of your mind that if one doesn't help (or know how to help) that another will.

HELP HELP HELP

Yes, my friend and I have both called, and through 3 phone calls, every representative has insisted that the "PCS BUSINESS CONNECTION" must be paid for at $15 with a SERO plan, on a Treo, if my friend is going to check his email or use the internet

WHAT DO I DO??? Can anyone here offer and suggestions or look at the account? My friend is furious because he was never told about this when he signed up for SERO , and on top of that, it had been FREE for the first 2 months... if it had shown up on the first month, he would have cancelled in a heartbeat. now, its not free and they have got him by the balls for two years.

Completely disgusting.

Change of Direction:
Honestly, people getting SERO plans and complaining that they have to pay for stuff is really getting old...I wish that I could get my Power Vision for $15. as it stand I pay $25. Sounds like your getting a good deal. If your getting a discount, why would you complain?

the OP seems confused and thinks that Biz connection is a normal charge. its an extra feature that ALL plans have. it has nothing to do with sero or using internet.

Maybe because this is just another "surprise!" on the list of things that sprint decides to surprise us with.

My 63 posts pale against thousands by some people here, so i apologize for asking. Education is begrudging.

Business connection is not required, but srint is happy to activate it for you to check email.

On a treo, you can check email other way's. Business connection is a service that people with too much cash or those that are too lazy use. I bet the OP is neither of the above!
