______________________________________________
Outside look: Very very thin obviously. The outside isnt a shiny paint feel, or a glossy feel, but yet it has a rubberized feel to it. If you've dealt with the MotoKRZR (#) K1m, the back side of the phone (#) (inc. battery cover) have this same feel. It add's some grip to the phone when taking it out of the pocket, etc. Camera is swivel like A900's. Samsung is printed underneath the OLED Screen and Sprint with the yellow /// things are printed at the very bottom. No MP3 buttons but its not hard to flip the lid and change the song. Volume buttons still serve as what they're called, VOLUME!
OLED Display: As some were kind of discouraged when finding out the "A900" look-a-like replacement did not come equip with a screen, This does just fine. It's nice and bright. A neon blue color makes up the information. Incoming call? Shows name in big letters and the number secondly (two separate screen looks). Also being OLED, it doesn't require alot of power to power up the display. This giving it a "tad" bit more battery life (#). Text messages display NEW MESSAGE
Open her up!:
The screen!: WELL!! Here's where it starts getting really good. 320x320 QVGA 262k 18bit color screen! The A900 replica! Gosh i'll tell you what, after having several phones since the A900, no others being QVGA, this was awesome to see again. The color, crispness, sharpness of this screen is absolutely an amazing marvel within its own... You wont be disappointed when you open up the phone and take a look at the screen. Camera looks good as well, but that will be later
Keypad: Well this is a little different then the normal. As you've might of heard, this keypad is FLAT. The only thing to single one key from another is the texture that is a mild-soft roughness to it. In between the keys are obviously soft. The LED lights behind this board are far more superior than that of the A900. M500, about the same in brightness, Krzr obviously is different because of its color. Krzr looks almost neon which is awesome too but this is about the M610! lol. Most people complain about the totally flat keypad but its only because while texting or using the phone, they aren't familiar with the spacing of the keys yet. Once you get the hang of the spacing of the keys, your fingers usually land right on the key that you're wanting to hit so its not a biggie.
Universal Port: This port is different than the ports that Samsung has given their older phones, and current sprint phones. Even the M500 doesnt have this port, and that phone is new. It's a universal port like the data/charging port on the A900 and probably most other phones, but this one tripples as the data port, charging port and headphone port. It's rectangle in shape and more narrower than the old usual. Same plastic-ish flap is used to cover this port but doesnt seem to be as big of a problem as the A900 was. Once again, headphones are included but no data cable
SD card slot: Well like the A920, A940, Sanyos (some maybe), and M500 those are on the outside for easy access. This phone has some Krzr symptoms but in a more difficult location. Like the Krzr, you haft to pop the thin plastic battery cover off to to get to this slot. Now unlike the Krzr's some what easy card access location, this phone requires you to pop the battery off, and insert the card pushing it upwards (towards the camera) waiting for a spring click noise so you know its locked in. To take it out, you push the card and it will click out (like the A920, A940, M500 (not sure of other models/brands).
UI and Speed (we're almost at the end guys, hang in there)
Well, the UI is as speedy as it gets. Krzr eat your heart out! Theme's that are installed are Sprint, and Samsung. You can change the color to white or black. The menu style options are as fallows: Grid Black, Grid White, List black. BT profiles are as fallows: HSP - Head Set Profile, HFP - Hands Free Profile (used for bt enabled vehicles), DUN - Dial Up Network (get online via bt), OPP (from here on, i kinda forgot what they are, read them in the book but dont remember.) , FTP - File Transfer Profile, BPP - ? lol, A2DP - ?? (use your BT headset/headphones to listen your music), AVRCP - ?? (This one if I remember correctly was something about controlling audio devices from your phone?? Someone may need to clarify for me and I will post the corrections, unless I get home (#) before then to check the manual.)
Last but not least...
The 2.0mp Camera: This thing is awesome. Sure it's a 2mp camera on a cell phone. The pictures are very very nice. Pictures can be adjusted as well accordingly to the current conditions, low light, florescent, sunny, white balance, quality, resolution (#), etc etc. Here's a picture of a coke can with my burrito wrapper right beside it lol (I was eating lunch, so what! :D)
This is my 2nd review of a phone so I hope it covers a majority of questions. We all know this phone is the thinnest clamshell to come to the US (can you believe it, we actually got something first!! In your eye VZW  :bang:
