Anyone have an idea if there will be an easy way to do this?

I signed up for wireless back up last week. I'm using that to just shoot my contacts to the M1. Probably cancel the service in a few weeks.
Also can use Bluetooth Im sure.

I wonder if it's possible to just pop in your sd card form your 8400 after saving them onto there and put it into the M1. I couldn't get the razr to recognizeanythjing on my sd card but maybe the sanyo will.

the M1 doesn't have card slot...i'm wondering if we could BT the contacts file saved on the Micro Sd on the 8400 and restore it on the M1. the 8400 gives you the option to send that file.
Edit: Just tried w/my beta and it worked..hm, bt hadn't worked worth a dam since i got it back..good stuff!! :headbang2

james2k - can you elaborate on that? How do you BT the contacts file that is saved on the microSD? Then how do you restore it on the M1?

first you have to save your contacts to the card on the 8400
menu>tools>micro sd>micro sd files>phone book>enter lock code>hit options (right softkey)>then save to micro sd
next, you would have to pair the M1 and the 8400 together. set either one to visible in the bt settings menu, then with the other search for devices. when it's recognized, go ahead and pair together with the pin 0000.
once they're paired, on the 8400 go to the trusted devices (menu>tools>bt) and highlight the SCP-M1. hit the options softkey and select send item. then select from micro sd. next select phonebook, then the actual phonebook file. then you press send and you will be sending the contacts file to the M1's file manager.
now on the M1, you would have to go to menu>tools>file manager. you should see your vcard file with a little phonebook icon. all you do then is select it and press OK. the phone will then import the contacts into the phone book. the only bad thing is that if you have groups set on the 84 you'll have to rename them on the M1, but the contacts are still in their respective groups (eg, group 8)

Hahaha I should have tried sending my contacts from my Treo to my M1, didn't think about it. Instead I signed up for Wireless Backup and did it that way. I think the Treo entries wouldn't have worked properly anyway.
