OK, I'm in then...is the 9000 height measurement with or w/o the antenna?

but is it really worth the switch of free teathering for bluetooth?

depends who you are -- i don't tether much, OR BT much.....but the option of both is aokay with me :)

tether is using internet or PV right? so basicly the 9000 users dont have to pay the PV monthly charges id rather have that. 9000 for me!

So you are saying that in the M1 NAI is enabled? Where did you hear that from??

Jonathanlc2005
12-03-2006, 11:30 PM
no im saying the 9000 is NAI disabled(free access).

im saying is it worth the 9000s free modem access or the m1's bluetooth and full screen.

is there a noticable screen difference between the two?

well the 8400 had it enabled.. id think the m1 would as well.

That is why you keep the 9K and use it as a second line.

RS plan and too expensive. if i choose to switch it would either be to stop babing my phone and use insurance or to sell it on SU for 230

heh i got 265 for mine w/leather case, extra battery, 1gig card, and all accessories, less than 2K mins and only 2 months old back in october on ebay. now that the m1 is out nobody is gonna pay that. this is why i sold my 9K when i did and got the 8400 for a good price :tu: b/c i knew the value of 9K's would drop once M1's were released. the avg joe schmo knows nothing of free teathering, and no SU'er is gonna pay 230 for a 9K on 12/4/06 :indiff:

but hey, who knows....it's the secondary phone market, nobody is an expert.

We had the same state of mind. I sold my last month after getting my Treo for 210 because I knew it was going to loose value once the M1 came out. It was a refurbished phone Lockline had sent me.

I guess it should have it enabled. I don't tether a lot but once in a while when the moment requires I use it on my laptop.

Actually I sold it in craigslist. I of course didn't mention the ##786 info but it looked Brand New.

Is anyone else here kinda bummed that the M1's internal display is smaller than the 9k's? Somewhere amongst all these threads I saw a pic of the M1 and the 9k opened up side by side, and the difference to me was quite noticable. With all the talk about the great features/specs ect it never occured to me that they would make the screen smaller. The external display sure looks great though. Other that that, this phone seems to be right up my alley.

They are the same size... :deal:

I think in paper they are the same size but from what I read another poster said its maybe a little smaller. To me from viewing the comparison pictures it does look smaller but then again the mostly everyone has their background set to black.

They are not the same size, they are the same resolution. Both are 240 x 320 pixels, but the 9000 is ~.2 inches larger diagonally

pacha248
12-05-2006, 10:36 PM
yeah you can really notice a huge difference even though it is only.2 inches smaller. and I'm unhappy with the speaker quality the 9000 was alot better, but you take the good with the bad and you end up staying with the M1 because in the end it has more features.

Ok 4 starters im typing frum my mm9000 as u can tell lol but i ordered my M1 Monday i played with it and hands down this sanyo"s GREATEST WORK 4 a phone ever. and might i add has 2 be in this winters top 5 phones i mean great is a down sizing lets just say its much lighter than it look and can do it all

Sanyo M-1

The 9000's screen is larger. Maybe on paper its minute but I held my M-1 and 9000 side by side and noticed it. Is it something that is a huge negetive, not in my book. The M-1 has to be the coolest looking as well as feature packed phone Ive ever owned!

Ya the only thing holding me back from M1 is the free tethering. Whats the likely hood of crackin the NAI to disable it? I'd really like free BlueTooth Tethering.
