I know Im new but Ive been reading threads on the M-1 and they are mixed up with people who have it and people that ordered it and those who are trying. So, I figured Id start a thread for those of us who dont have it yet and maybe someone will have a tip for those that are having trouble ordering it.

Because they were not processed. I have been on the loop-around for 3 hours just to get a tracking number. No one can give me a straight answer why they can't find my phone or tracking number. As a result they canceled them. Cool sprint Cool.

my recent phone history: sanyo 8100 > sanyo 8200 > sanyo scp-200 (piece of crap) > sanyo katana (blah..sold it on ebay after a month) > back to scp-200

to hopefully the M1. the only thing i can do on my scp200 is talk and text. oh ya alarm and calendar too.

I ordered Mine and they said it was all good, then that the order was cancelled because they used the wrong system for employees and that it was ordered again today so we'll see.

For what its worth I was told the day after I ordered mine it was ob B/O. Then I had to call the warehouse and of course it was suddenly fixed. Im now in the "in progress" stage. I called 1-866-404-1335. I was on hold for 55 min. but I guess it worked!

call CORPORATE telesales. i do not have the number, so the only way out of this is to get transferred from the "regular" telesales. if they question you why you want to be transferred, say because there's been better help from them instead. the person i spoke to was REALLY cool about it. he talked to me as if i was some hotshot executive :lol:

I just called Retentions and he said because of my plan he isn't able to do anything, and an error came up for him when trying to just order it. He said to try telesales or my sprint rep. Just curious if anyone with a RS plan has ordered it. and how you did so? (from where, when, any discounts, etc) Thanks! :wavey:

I call this afternoon to the Sprint store and the guy told me they're gonna have it for the holidays and before Xmas so I guess we don't have to wait till January and hope that's true :fingers: :fingers:

I ordered through telesales on Thursday without problems. No discounts, was only eligible for the one-year, but the rep said he couldn't process it. The phone came out to about $390 including tax and shipping.

When did you order it? If last night, they lied to you- UPS doesnt pick up on Saturday or Sunday from Sprint that is a for sure. The next day any orders would make any movement after Friday would be Monday morning for Tues delivery. It wouldnt be till monday morning

yeah i had ordered mine friday night. i call back in saturday and they tell me the order is still in progress like they told you and gave me a request # telling me they have to wait for it to be approved by the people in the warehouse and at that time i'd receive an order number along with a tracking number as well. and that if it's being shipped out more than likely monday and i should be receiving it wednesday or thursday. just have to wait and see what happens i suppose.. :Popcorn2:

I ordered mine on Thursday and was suppose to ship Friday, arrive on Monday. It's Sunday, I just called and they said its in progress. I think it just may be on back order now.

Hello I really really cant wait to get my hands on the new M1 I just have a couple questions for anyone who has gotten this phone thru retentions. I just got a replacment phone a couple months ago so i am not eligible for any rebate but I have been with sprint for 6 years now and I am out of contract. Do you think I will be able to get a good deal on this phone thru retentions if I sign a new contract. If anybody is in the same situation I am let me know!! Thanks

when did you order it? (date/time) Gotta remember if it was Friday after 4pm, it wont go out till Monday morning and tracking numbers wont work until the first scan by UPS on pickup which would be monday morning

oh well if you ordered thursday it wasnt picked up till friday but there should be tracking info. Id call UPS or sprint and find out why. My order is still processing since it was Friday at 8pm and wont even get picked up till Monday morning. But for your case you should have some tracking info already, Id def. call and find out why not

i've thought about it....i AM out of contract here very soon...i wonder what would happen if i told them i no longer work for the 3rd party and signed a two-year on a regular plan, to only have my indirect rep switch it back.

yes, thats how i always get my tracking info. calling 888-253-1315 is a waste. on hold forever and closed on weekends. i always just call *2, hit O for operator and tell them you placed an order and want status. It will be on their system.

I am an existing customer. I just tried ordering the M1 a few minutes ago through telesales. They told me that even though I qualify for the $150 rebate for having my phone for 2 years I would have to pay full price and do a mail-in rebate. How can I get this phone with an instant rebate. I don't want to pay $349 and wait 6 months for a rebate check.

Just got off the phone w/CS and was told my phone is in KC. It will be next day to me but might not get it till wed. Not what I wanted to hear but as long as its on the way I feel a little better. My tracking# should work tomorrow a.m Im told. Crazy crazy crazy!

You have to buy in the stores to get an instant rebate. My mom went through the same ordeal trying to the get 610, so she is waiting to get one in the stores.

i just called 3 stores. each time the person said they hadn't heard of it and each time they had no idea when they would be carrying it. they are so ignorant of their own products...

I doubt that, I have had the same experience. Each time Im put on hold after Im asked "what phone?" They just dont know.

I also called multiple stores. One told me they won't get them in until later in December. I asked specifically when, they said end of December. Ok... :td: I knew they didn't have a clue what they are talking about. Called a different store, he checked his invoice and told me an exact date...Tuesday, December 5th 2006. :clap:

Either way, I just ordered two more online. Dont know which 2 i'll get first, but i'll return the others -- or sell them on ebay!!!

Well we already know my drama with my order placed like 20 minutes after ikandi with the same rep...mine is back ordered and her is in her hand (great luck by the way)...

I was told my order was cancelled today...Retention rep orders another one at the $199 new act price :music: and bills to the account, then rep calls back and says first order aint cancelled...so now I have 2 orders...I think I will send one back (full price of course)...or list in the TP. Scared to cancel one might cancel the wrong one.

I'm so confused right now. I called 3 sprint stores in my area. One store said they would have the m1 by wednesday, one said mid december, and one store didn't even know what a M1 was. Any help lol.

That's nothing new. The reps will tell you whatever they feel like telling you until they actually get some solid information. There's a good chance the average sales person on the floor does not even know what the phone is, much less when it's coming in.

Same here I call stores here in my area Orlando, Fl. and they told me wednesday they're gonna receive and shipment they're not sure if it gonna come in there but the guy told me they're gonna have it for the holidays for sure so it's gonna be only few weeks

i dont know about you guys, but my experience returning a phone through telesales has always been a headache. first they mail you a return kit through fedex. after about 2 weeks you call them asking them what is going on with the return, they ask for the tracking number and after they see they received it, then they transfer you to the credit department and then you finally get the credit. point being that i feel that if i never called, they would never give me my money back. i have a feeling with the M1, i will not have this problem because i will keep it.

Hey yall. I've been following these M1 threads for a while and thought I'd contribute a semi new piece of info...

I don't post much, but I like to when I find new things...

Before I go any further I would like to source my info. Autorized retailers and up may only have access to I.N.C.....but this is where I read the following and I quote...

"The phone will launch on 12/3 in Web, Agents, Direct Business, and Telesales. On 1/14 it will launch in Retail"

Defintion of Retail down further is "radioshack and national retailers"

I wish we could get it at my store sooner than that geez...

I orderd my last friday around 4pm and got a order number today. I'm going to call early tomorrow morning to hopefully get tracking info. :fingers: I know people keep saying that the M1 won't be in Sprint stores untill after Christmas but I will be surprised if they don't show up sooner.

I ordered mine Thursday at 4PM. Called today and the only info on my order is "In Progress". They told me to call back Monday for a tracking number. I was hoping it would be here on Monday. I'm going out of town Tuesday and Wednesday which means I probably won't have it in my hands until Thursday. :irked:

I changed my plan today and ordered the M1... Was told it would take up to 4 days to get the phone... I will call sales support tomorrow to see what the status is... I was given an order reference number... has this been the same for everyone else that's ordered through telesales? BTW... I'm an existing customer and got the $150 phone update rebate... thanx

I got my order number when I called and ordered friday, I've been calling 2x a day cause I need to have them fix my address so I can get it dropped off at work. (which seems like I'm stuck doing tomorrow, after it has a tracking number) Worst part is I'd suddenly become *sick* if I wasn't a tech service manager for a provider and my boss knew my phone was coming out, lol

Hey hwag i did mine the same way paid 229 including S&H tax. Called today got my tracking# order it early Thurs morning she siad it went out today (sunday) asked her agian and she said it did ship out was not in the UPS tracking site yet.

Mine was pretty much the same deal... Free next day shipping... I did however get a $25 credit to my next month's bill which brought the drive out price down to $203.94... :) I'll post what I find out tomorrow when I call Cust. Sales Support...

The only thing that I can think of is that they require that you sign a 180-day contract with them, in addition to the two year agreement (i.e. if you cancel before the 180 days is up, you must return the phone (which, they can not return to sprint or resell to customer's...) or you will pay the full retail price of the phone)... I work for a third party and we had these, although there is no way of us even doing that. We had to then drop it down to 31-days, and per Sprint, we had to completely get rid of it. Sorry.. suddenly, I've noticed I'm rambling... My point, it maybe.

Looks legit to me. 100% positive feedback is a good start. Also, seems to have the same requirements that the other popular sprint sellers have (new account, or add-a-line, don't change the contract for at least 30 days, etc.)

EDIT: Posted about the same time as the post above. Still think it looks legit, but the only way to find out for sure is talk to someone who has used this seller before. You should be able to contact them via eBay easily enough. Just look in the feedback section for this seller, and check out the users there.

I purchased a M610 from this seller last week. They said it would take longer since the phone was not in stock at sprint. They have really poor customer service but they do send a new M610 and the shipping is overnight and free. Also you don't get a $36.00 activation fee. I Talked to jack to do my ordering. He is at extention 201. Tell him you got reffered by me (mandy Hall) and he'll hook us up with some discounts. He's very short on the phone, but the deal is real. :headbang2

Its Monday and I just called to get a tracking number. The rep said I will get it Tuesday evening. So I asked for the tracking number and he said he didn't have one. So I asked "Then how do you know it will be here Tuesday evening?". He said "Because I just know." After I got done laughing, I said have a nice day, bye. So, I still don't know when its coming. Good entertainment value though.

Just called order support a rude lady said our systems are updating after I held on the phone 35 minutes to get to her. Then she said why dont you call CS and get that information. Sprint CS is the worst I have ever dealt with ...I love their actual service.

i called yesterday and today...they gave me a tracking nubmer both time. but ups cannot locate the packages. so the lady said it's in backorder. i was like then why is it that they have a tracking number. she said they have the box ready and are waiting for the phone to get here..which should be today (monday night) and it's shipping via ground.

I wasn't sure what's the best number to check on a tracking number so I called telesales. After 20 minutes on hold, glad I got speaker phone the lady said that ups is picking up the phone today and I should have it tomorrow. She said call back around 4pm mountain time and they should have a tracking number.:fingers: :fingers:

just tell them you want to cancel because sprint has no good phones..and even then the only decent one (the m1) is 350. even with 150 off you have to pay close to 200 bucks.

that should get their attention. :clap:

I had a Motorla V3M and I returned it Friday via UPS. All these nutso threads up here about orders placed ahead of time and invisible pics-well, Sunday i called CS and they transferrred me to telesales-and telesales got me to Sales Retentions and they said they could see that a return kit was sent so they placed the order for Sanyo M1 and placed a credit for $349.99 against my acct and explained that when the V3M reached their warehouse i would be credited $329.15. Then I just need to pay the difference which would be charged to my acct.

I was told I would receive the M1 in 3-5 business days. I asked again about People who were ABLE to order this phone before release. Retensions said if they did-and they do not know how that could be done-then they were all on backorder.

Retentions is the only dept at Sprint that can do a replacement and not have to place a CC charge for the full price of a new phone it was explained to me that CS could only resend me a V3M-and I did not want one. telesales could send me the M1 but would have to place full charge of $349.99 aginst my CC and that just places additional refundsitting on my Sprint acct-when the V3M returns and credits.

So Sales retentions did right by me.

Left Columbia, SC(90 minutes from my house) at 6:35 am Sat and hasn't been scanned since. Tracking info says overnite to be delivered on Tue 12/5. That's about 2 days by my calculations.

Maybe I'll get lucky. Mine hasn't been scanned since it left CAE on Sat.
I also found out that I was kinda hosed by retentions giving me a $150 service credit. Since my total bill after discounts and credits only totals $75/mo I was only credited about $55 towards my bill. I only had to pay tax on the first 4 lines and $15 for the 5th and my bill came to about $20.
Called retentions back and the rep gave me a $80 credit instead of another service credit to help make up the diff. So I only came up about $15 short of the promised $150. Now I have a $60 credit on my account. I guess it's not too bad considering I'm still under contract and I wasn't eligible for a rebate for 7 months.

I just called retentions told them I have been with them for 6 years payed my bills on time every month and wanted a new sanyo or else i was going to cancel since i was out of contract. I was on hold for one minute and when she comes back she says we can offer you the brand new Sanyo M1 for FREE with a new two year agreement. She also said she would waive shipping and the activation fee. I took the deal and the M1 should be here by the end of the week!!!

What worries me is that CAE has an air hub and a ground hub. If it left the air hub for the ground hub across the street I might be SOL. I have had packages sit at the UPS ground hub in CAE that came over from the air hub for 13 hrs+ before moving out to CHS.

Just ordered mine through Retentions. I forgot to write down the guy's name but he was really cool. Took me two calls though, the first time I got some guy I could barely understand who told me I had to talk to rebates department, forwarded me over there where I got stuck in an endless string of computerized voices, never could get a human. The second guy though got it for me, $199 with my upgrade credit, plus another $50 off for resigning the contract (which really only extended it by 4 months anyway since we just re-signed when my parents got new phones). He also got me frees shipping/activation and said the phone would ship out tomorrow morning, I'll have a tracking number tomorrow as well.

The other nice thing was that my $150 upgrade rebate had been set up as a mail-in since I had to warranty swap my 5500 once through a Best Buy service plan, so he took that code off of the account, and just applied a $150 credit to our account, then charged the phone to the account and took a payment for the amount of the phone from my credit card. Really nice guy, I'm actually kinda disappointed I forgot to write down his name.

I'll post some pics once I get it later this week.

Ordered mine Friday around 4pm and after a hour of hold time I just got my tracking info. The rep said it's in route from kentuky and I should have it delivered tomorrow. :fingers: I put the tracking info in but it didn't bring anything up yet but it probably will tomorrow morning. :fingers: I called telesales prompt for new phone, prompt for bought the phone from a rep, prompt for check status of order. I forget the numbers but be prepaired for a long hold time. I was lucky that I got my charger in my A900 before it died. lol

Well, heres my status. All day my tracking# isnt in the UPS system and I called retentions after a CS rep put me through to some dept. I never heard of to get a new tracking#. Do you believe this? So I called retentions and bluntly told the rep. if I have no answer tonight my Sprint account I will be cancelling. She told me shes looking into it herself as I told her the 20 reps Ive spoken to since I ordered Thurs. are plain and simple Stupid! She is supposed to call me back in 1/2 hr. Will post back!

You guys suck. My order was placed on Thursday and they haven't shipped it. Still says "In progress". They told me to call back on Tuesday and "maybe" they can give a tracking number.

I actually called a few times. Here are the answers I got:

"Should have in two weeks, just in time for Christmas."

"In Progress means its on its way."

"Should arrive Tuesday evening." Me-How do you know without tracking numbers? CS-"I just know."

"It's 72 Hours to process an order. You ordered on Thursday so Friday, Monday is the 72 hours (I thought that was 48). So add 3-5 business days after the 72 hours. You should have it by next Monday."

Im not making any of this up. How could I?

Maybe they switched systems or somthing but I'm pretty sure when I finally got my 700wx after week because of the warehouse issue the night before I couldn't see my tracking info but at 7am it showed that it was out for delivary. If I don't see my tracking info tomorrow then I might get a little worried. Also since it's the holidays Sprint is selling more phones so it takes extra time to get your order processed and if you order close to the weekend that doens't help since they don't deliver.

I just called cs and the lady said that my order from yesterday would be shipped overnight and I would recieve it tomorrow, then I ask her for the tracking number and she then proceeds to tell me that I have a hiearchary account and my order was cancelled due to the fact that I should talk to someone in National Account Sales about recieving a discount on my phone. The lady said I could get 150 off for renewing a 2yr agreement and I was like I dont want to right now and I told her al the bs I went through today and how I was on hold for like 40 min and called several times and get the wrong info and now she is giving me a $50 credit. She said I will recieve it tomorrow afternoon by UPS.

I highly doubt I wil recieve it by tomorrow afternoon. Stupid Sprint :bang:

I am in a similar situation. When I called 1-800-PICK-UPS at 8:10 pm (pacific standard time) it stated: "For that shipment we currently do not have any information available...please call back later or check ups.com". I said my tracking number again and replaced the last number with the number nine. It asked me to repeat my tracking number. This seems to indicate that my tracking number is 'in the system' (I would take it as my package has been piced up by UPS), but there is no details available. I will check back after 9pm (midnight eastern) to see if there is any details of my shipment.

I was told by UPS that it is up to the sender if a signature is required and UPS customer service does not have that information.

i ordered my m1 Saturday....
called this morning after reading everyone else's issues....to make sure it was shipping today..
and said i want to make sure its coming or im gonna be pissed..
she looked for it.. and said oh i cant find it.. i can only find the return kit for you 8400
i was like fck the return kit wheres the phone..
i got one tracking number...
i checked it on ups..it said not avail.. i was like ***.. i have never seen a tracking number not come up.. i ship allot..
so when i was at the sprint store.. i asked the lady to look up on my account for the tracking number..
she was like for what i was like my M1. she was like what is that.. LMFAO>>>>>
so i said..just find my tracking number..
she gives me a different one..
i think when i called today they screwed up or something.. and just reorderd without telling me.. just to keep me happy...
also i cant see the first one being my return kit i have never gotten one other than via USMAIL..

i just tracked both tracking numbers..

Just checked UPS and my M1 is "Out for Delivery"! I ordered it on Sunday afternoon, the order was processed yesterday and I should have it this afternoon... I'd have to give Sprint an "A" on this one... I have to say that while the order process and checking on order status was a bit tedious, the sales reps and CS reps were all exceedingly polite and helpful. They also apologized repeatedly for delays while they were waiting for their system to update/accept data. I've read a lot of posts on this forum and others berating the CS reps but overall I've had pretty good experiences with them... I always try to remain friendly and patient with them. Another thing I've found is when a CS rep. isn't as helpful or doesn't want to do what I want, I thank them, hang up and wait an hour or so and call back... Usually, the different rep on the call back will resolve the issue to my satisfaction...Good luck to everyone on getting their M1...

She said the Krzr m1. lol I was like :scare: no that's not the right phone. She checked the specs and had a picture of the phone so I asked her does it say Sanyo and it has a 2mp camera she said yes. When I called to get my tracking info a few times they repeated that I was getting the M1 but nothing surprises me with Sprint. lol Yea I probably just got more packing so it's better protected. lol

I had to wait on the phone for over an hour with the Sprint shipping dept :bang: to get it done and it's going to cost me an additional $70!!! I'm checking right now to see where my order is so hopefully I'll have some good news.

Just placed my order with telesales. The 30 days I have to return my M500 is up on Tuesday, so hopefully it'll arrive before then. If it doesn't, I'll just reactivate my old 5600 and use it until it arrives. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :)

ETA: Eek! regarding the KRZR instead of the M1. I'm on the line now to double check that I ordered the right one. :)

this sucks. i called on friday to order it and the guy tried to, but he couldnt charge it to my account and i didnt want to pay for it on a credit card, cause then the phone wouldnt be free like it's supposed to. so then i called on saturday and a woman ordered it for me and said she would call me back, and she didnt. she also said she would overnight it, and it wouldnt cost me anything... it didnt go out.

i called yesterday and they ordered it, and sprint almost never calls me back, but he did and i was expecting "it went through" or "it didnt go through, but we will help you" but no... he calls to say his "management" said no to the offer after he already put it through and he had to cancel my order. that is so dumb! i definately need help! is there any sprint rep who can help me with this? i email e-care too and didnt hear abck from them yet.

this really sucks... i hate Sprint's CS. :irked:

The tracking number may be valid but it will not work at the UPS site until the driver actually picks up the package, scans the label (tracking #) and then sends into the UPS system.

I received mine yesterday while I was at work Had to wait until 10pm to take it out of the box.
Set it all up today and it's nice. But as luck would have it the black I have a cloud that follows me around. The hinge on the left side is already loose. It wobbles back and forth something terribel. Looks like it will go back to retentions for a replacement.

I don't where the pin hole charging port is but I'm sure it will be a keeper. :) One thing about buying the first batch of a new phone is that sometimes there not as good as later batches but will see.

Cool, that saves me from having to argue with them about it. I've never paid an activation fee before (well, maybe when I first signed up), and I think it's rediculous that they try to charge $36 for an ESN swap on new phones now.

On a side note for any Treo owners that are moving to the M1, I was just looking at the contacts menu and we can send the entire phone book via bluetooth. Just sent all 155 contacts to my Mac in one .vcf file, sure do hope I can send them that way to the M1 instead of one at a time :fingers:. With most new phones having BT these days, you would think that such a thing would be standard. Anyone know if the M1 can export the entire contact list at once like that?

sure why not, I might get it faster if u shipped it to me, the way Sprint is sending out the M1.

BTW: I just checked my bank statement my to see if i have be billed and it shows:

but on my SPCS Account Home page it says:

they charge you, and credit your account, just in case the phone never makes it...the credit will disappear...make sure you pay your bill at the end of the month

I was wondering about that as well... I figured it had to be something like that. Now I have to do some math to figure out how much my balance really is. :)

I have the same thing on my account, I got excited at first before I realised. I obtained a tracking number today, but not showing in UPS's system as of yet.

getting a m610 and m1? Def do a review comparing the 2, I got the m1 but still on the fence whether I want the m1 or m610. M1 is nice, just kinda i dunno teenager looking music phone like all others and I rarely even listen to music on my phone. Its a nice phone and UI, the m610 might just fit me better for calls and vision use.

Got one coming from retentions in 3 to 5 days....they traded it out with my Fusic and all I had to pay was the $50 difference :)

Now the painful wait begins :(

I'm waiting on hold to see if there's a tracking number yet. I waited for an hour this afternoon, but had to hang up to go pick up the kids. No such time limits this time, so hopefully I'll have a better idea of when it's arriving tonight.

I placed an order for mine about an hour ago. If all goes well, I should have it by Friday or Saturday (assuming they ship on Saturdays).

FINALLY! someone ordered it for me... again! but it went through. i spoke to someone in business retention who took care of the problem and said that he forced the order to go through and that thay cant cancel this order because of how it is being put thru... and i got no activation fee, no tax, and overnight shipping free. he put a credit on the account for whatever the full price of the phone is, and he said if they dont recieve the fusic, the credits will just be taken back, and i will have to pay for the m1. i also have an order number and it will be here thursday! i'm so excited!
