That's very odd because the rep. I got didn't have any problem taking my order for one. You might try calling back and seeing if you get a different person. The guy I got asked what I wanted to do and I told him I need to replace my 3 year old 5500 with another Sanyo. He asked which one and I told him the M1. It took him a minute or two to find it and look into it for any promotions but there were none so I had to pay the full $349.99. I don't care tho, I knew I was going to get this phone so I was just happy to get the chance to order it prior to the rumor'd/official launch date.

The only problem is that after they gave me his employee number they told me that if I asked to speak with him by that number they would'nt be able to transfer me since nobody would know who it was and they don't give out names??? You're right. Just having a wild hair to do some impulse buying. I've had my 5500 for over 2 1/2 years, and it's been the best phone I've ever had in my possession. It's in great shape, too. I'm just looking to "upgrade" to a durable, powerful, and feature-laden phone (like the 5500, for its time) relatively soon. I check back from time to time on the latest reviews from you all. . . makes me sometimes wish I still worked for Sprint so I could get the lowdown before launch.

My only gripe is tha Employee Telesales says that they can't bill phones to account but I think that is BS because my credit class allows for BTA and they have refused to BTA when others have billed to their account before. I mean I don't think they shouldn't allow BTA just because we are employees but I will ask again for BTA and see if they will do it for me. If not I will have to wait until it shows up on the Advantage Club. I am still waiting for telesales to give me a credit for the data card and router I returned.

Just ordered mine... took 55 minutes to get everything taken care of (SPECIAL REASONS THOUGH.... I had bough tthe KRZR, returned it.... there was a credit of 426.99 waiting on the account. Well im on hold right now with Employee Care trying to order the phone. He says he can order it for me but he has to call employee care to see if they can take off a code that is on my account that is not allowing them to give me the lower price for the phone. He had to transfer me to care to see if they can remove the code. What a nightmare this was because I hard ordering a Treo for my mom and then she didn't like it so I kept it and then the phone was having problems so I had to get it exchanged and since I ordered the exchange under my number through telesales and they ordered it for the lower price it messed up my upgrade. I am on hold now with a really nice lady from care who is trying to help me out. Hopefully she can do something for me.

Update: OK well the wonderful care rep was able to remove that code for me and notate the account. Now I am waiting to speak to someone on Telesales to order the phone. I hope they can bill to my account. :fingers:

Well i agre but cmon the guy's got a point. These reps all know about the m610 and m1, they both release in 2 days. I promise they all were inofrmed of the launch. Some are just playing dumb to not sell them before launch and some prob just didnt read the email/memo yet obviously. But like he said for 2 high end flagship phones its hard to believe that many telesales/CS reps havent heard about it this close to launch

Yeah, they are probably aware that it won't ship until Monday so they added an extra day or two from the standard 1-3 days they always give.

In a perfect world I would agree......but this is Sprint we're dealing with. I'll be very happy if my phone actually does ship out on Monday. If it doesn't I'll probably cancel my order since once the first deadline is broken it's likely it'll be a week or more before it actually does ship. But if you only ordered yesterday which is when the first report came in that they were taking orders, Monday going out is not unreasonable considering UPS does no pickups Sat/Sun for Sprint seeing as today is Fri. They could be getting shipped out tonight, I dont have all the answers on that though. Like rofl said we know they have them in the warehouse, but like I said earlier we are all ordering PRE LAUNCH and they dont really have an obligation to ship before the launch and we all knowingly ordered before the launch date

I think it may say Back Order but that's just because its not released yet. Oh, and don't bother asking for a tracking number. Most reps won't give you one. When I ordered my 9000 they said there was no tracking number and I got the phone the next day (free overnight).

waitin on hookup from employee with swac on orderin mine, if i had been like yall, and had ordered one last night, it would be here today. thats a perk of sprint and living in ky. made a insurance claim one time, got the replacement the next day. only bout 2 hrs from warehouse :D

I just ordered mine today as I had to wait until today to get my $150 discount. My order number is 2 letters and then 5 numbers, is that right? I see the $211 has been put into my account but how soon before that actually gets applied towards the phone? Just very eager to get my M1!

Talking with rep in retentions now and reading her all your threads and they have no info on the M1 and it is not available thru order in sales retention at Sprint-I so Love this-and they do not even have a list of specs on the phone-OK This is the fantasy thread-because this woman is ROTFLHAO-about all these orders that were supposedly placed....Well, let me not interfer with this string-I want to count just how many people say/think they have ordered the Sanyo M1 and that it is on its way to them...earlies I read here is TOMORROW-and the phone is not even being released until Sunday-OK I expect 8 x 10 pics of the phone people receive tomorrow. Can't wait.
