Have to share my recent experience with retention and SPCS rebates.

So in mid October I called Sprint regarding the increase in fees for casual use of texts and data. Ended up I could cancel 2 of my lines with no fees but the 3rd had not casual use of either so couldn't cancel that one. Didn't want to cancel any of them so talked with a retention associate about a new phone. Got a Samsung a900m for $80 plus free Unlimited texts and Vision for all 3 lines for 2 years. Great, needed a new phone and would enjoy the Vision(already had 500 texts free per month).

So I check online to see how much of a deal I got on my phone and see that the pricing was good fair, but there was a $100 rebate that was applicable to this model. I printed the rebate form out and sent it in once I had received my phone the next day. I thought heck, why not try, will be a long shot but worth the try for $100 and make the phone = $20 back to me. :)

So earlier this week I get a check from Spring for $250. :)
I guess the associate that helped me did not key the credits for the phone as an upgrade and I got the Upgrade rebate plus the promotional $100 on top of that.

Nice timing too with Xmas shopping and all.

Glad things worked out great for you!!! My experiences with the Sprint retention folks have never worked out that well...not that things did not go well but I didn't end up with a wad of cash in my pocket. :)

Good for you. I got an A900 this summer, discounted and sent in the rebate, which should have been $100, but they sent a rebate check for $200. I don't know why, but I spent it anyway.
