Oct 23 version of browser software -- pretty darn recent.
And 1.001 software -- I hope it isn't buggy. Sanyo's been pretty good about that, but even my 5500, which I got the day it was released, was 1.008.

im talking about ..while the track is playing..if you hit left i skips back a track..if you hit up and down you can only scroll through the tracks in that folder..there is no way to get to another folder without opening the phone.

i checked out the manual for you too like jes did and it does say "dsc-p72 only" for macro mode. sorry to say, but if you dont see a flower, i dont think you can do it.

so i guess the best thing to do is avoid taking too close pics..we will just zoom in here. farther clear > blurry closeup

My suggestion is try to move farther away from the phone and then zoom in with your camera lens. Either that or try to use manual focusing. From what I just read on a couple of sites, it's like they said...there's no dedicated macro button, but you have macro automatically when you're close. Supposedly you can get as close as 4 inches. anyways...hope you figure that one out.

I just got my M1 this afternoon and I have to say it is just as good as i expected.

That SKU is 17-1124

It feels well built and put together, no creaky feeling when squeezing the phone, the silver parts might get scratched, but you'd have to drop it just right. Looks like you'd scratch the black first if you drop it.

So far the cal quality is great, speaker phone worked great, the BT seems to be really good (even worked on my headset that is starting to go bad) and signal strength was great too. I live near the edge of the coverage area in Phoenix and i get signal just fine.

Comes with USB cable and stereo headphones with the adapter, just like the fusic.

Here are some pics of the phone's menus and buttons taken with my 8400 (which is going on ebay). Here are a couple of low light (all the lights were off) pics of the box too. The bright spot in the middle is the flash.

The first 3 pics are from my 8400, the last 2 pics are from the M1 with all the lights turned off and just the flash working.

God i'm so jealous. Sitting here while mine is somewhere in the same state as i am being shipped to me. I can't wait to get it, hopefully it will get here today. UPS tracking said it was next day air saver, with an estimated shipping date of tuesday, but that doesn't seem right considering the type of shipping and where i was last. It's annoying, but an elaborate rubber band system has kept the phone charging while I'm away. It's been strung up in rubber bands for months now so you can imagine I'm pretty happy about some of these nicer phones coming out.

If you're listening to music with 3.5mm headphones, not a headset, will it let you answer a call by just talking into the headset but continuing to hear voice through your headphones?

How's the sound quality of the headphone out? If someone with nice headphones could post an impression that would be amazing. This may be the determining factor for me.

Battery life/reception? I'm sure we're all waiting on this one.

I need to get the power vision on a good deal and a loyalty discount and the 6PM deal and free activation.

What do you members suggest? Strike a deal on the phones at the same time as the serive plan or put one before the other? I called today and the first point of contact told me that I would have to pay $200 out of pocket for each phone!!! No way.

For the hell of it, I checked out Cingular and they'll GIVE me four LG 500 phones.

Actually, when I was just looking for one phone they told me I could get $150 + 50 + $36 for the activation fee.

The lady today said that I need to speak with the next level to get any deal and I just know I need to sit down when I have an hour to bargain. Monday.

Yeah, I just got done reading that section in the online manual and it states that it reccomends Windows and doesn't guarantee any other operating system, but Macs do work well with most external devices, we'll see.

Yeah, I'm having trouble with the idea that I may sell my 700p after my M1 gets here. The damn threaded texting and QWERTY keyboard are so addictive on the Treos. My first love though is the flip, so I think I'll be happy :).
