View Full Version : Could this work (SERO-related...)

Hey all - this is my first thread here. I've been lurking for a long time and the information I've gotten from this site is invaluable. So, thanks for that.

I wanted to run a scheme I am planning by everyone here and get their input. First, here is some background:

About 6 months ago or so I opened my own Sprint account in order to take advantage of SERO and get an a900 (which I really like by the way). At that time, I added TEP.

Now I am itching to get my hands on a Treo 700p. My co-worker is also looking to get a new phone and likes the looks of the SERO plan.

SO, if my co-worker ends up getting SERO I will have him buy a 700p (for $300!) which I will buy from him and give him my a900. Since my a900 is a little scratched, I was thinking about calling into Sprint and saying I lost it so that I could then give my friend a brand new a900.

My questions are 1) Do you foresee any problem with me getting a new a900 from Sprint through TEP and then giving it to my friend? and 2) Is there any problem with him giving me the Treo that he got through Inphonic?

Sorry this is kind of long-winded but thanks for any comments! BTW - I did search on this but I couldn't find anything that answered this particular sequence...

Far as I recall, the insurance will replace the phone with a refurb.

Please dont lie about your phone.....insurance costs go up for all of us because of crap like that. However, you should be able to do an ESN swap and get it all set up.

If your phone is scratched, its NOT a reason to use your insurance. Doing so is fraud and not acceptable on here.
