I tried getting something better out of retention today. I am out of contract. Been with sprint for 5 years.
What i have now:
Free and Clear 2500 Minutes $100
Free M2M
Free 2nd line
Nights at 5pm $10
American Roaming $10
Employee disc of 25%
Free Vision, Picture mail and texting on both lines
Retention offered
2100 Minutes F&F with $5 for every 30 mins $109
Free Roaming
Free nights at 7
Employee disc of 25% and extra 15% disc
Free Mobile 2 Mobile
PV Line one $10
PV Line two $7.50
U/LTexting Line one $8
U/L Text line two $8
Also they are throwing in a free gray razr and a red razr for $29.95
But here's the kicker. Since I am on a old vision plan and am looking at 2 razrs I have to upgrade to a PV plan even though I am not in a PV area. So now I have to pay $10 and $7.50 for PV on the two lines and $8 a piece for unlimited texting.
So I am looking at over $30 a month in charges for texting and vision that I got for free before.
So basically the price would be the same on both plans but on the new plan I lose 400 mins and my 5pm nights.
Does anyone have a simmilar plan and how did they get past the expensive upgrade to PV fiasco?

No way past it, you have to pay for PV (usually). If you try real hard, you can probably get $5 PV for the lines, some people have gotten it free, but not many. Depending on your text messaging needs, it's fairly easy to get 500 free messages a month, but pretty difficult now to get unlimited for free.

Correct on both accounts. You are better off staying with the old free and clear plan, upgrading to the powervision phones and doing it with retentions to get some text messsages included (500 is the norm) and a discount on the powervision service.
The standard credit is $10, and a powervision plan with picturemail is $15, with a net cost to you of $5.

I wouldn't want to lose the 5PM nights at $10 either.

Thats a crappy offer... I would think that they would offer you something better than what you have.. that offer gives you less than what you have and your paying a bit more.
Shame on retentions...... free phones are nice but they need to do a better offer on your plan..
Also I thought that you can upgrade to a pv phone with out added pv now

What retentions said was my plan was already so good they couldnt beat it. And it was an old plan. Honestly i wanted a 2500 min F&F plan. It was available a while back but isnt advertised anymore. I was hoping they could access it though. Guess not. So all retentions can give is the same type of plans anyone else can get on the sprint website. All rententions can do is discount them some.

If they cant give you a better plan, tale the current plan and ask for the loyalty discount they offered you to be applied anyways. Take a decent offer on new phones and call it a day :)

Dan, my power vision plan with picture mail is $20 not $15. standard power vision is $15. did the pricing change because it was $15 $20 $25.

Your probably right......... I thought the $15 vision included pic mail and the $10 EVDO save offer didnt. The EVDO save offer asks you to pay $5 per month for picturemail. The $10 offer plus the $10 credit can get you vision plus picmail for $5
