i already have a 2nd phone for my Mom on my account which is free as an add on. i want to get my Dad a phone also which will cost me an additional $19.95 per month in addition to the phone.a couple of questions are 1)will i lose my perks and discounts 2) can i get a 3rd phone added for less than 19.95/mo.my Mom has a Katana and i want to get my Dad one also.thanks for any input.we share the minutes. i know i can change my plan to a family plan which is 2100 min. for $110 + $10/mo. for a 3rd. phone. same price as my previous plan and i get 100 add'l minutes. will i lose my perks and discounts if i change plans?thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I'm on the same plan, do you still get unlimited texts, for free?
You will have to pay the 20 a month for the AAP. Yes you will lose any and all perks if you switch your plan.

Just buy the phone take the discounts and ask them to mirror your current plan bcause the katana in NOT a power vision phone.

I have the same plan and faced the same problem when adding a third line to my account. Yes, it is possible to add the third line without changing anything else about the account. And yes, it is possible to get the AAP (Add A Phone) for less than 19.95. Ask for 9.95. My suggestion would be to contact E-care and ask them to discount the new lines AAP charge, but you would have to do that after adding the line. To contact E-care just log into the sprint.com website using the "My Sprint Wireless" drop down selection, then your username and password. Once logged in use the "Contact Us" link in the middle of the page above the "My Phone and Plan" section, NOT the "Contact Us" link at the top of the page. The one on top may work but I always get lost trying it. Finally use the "Email us" link and fill out the web form to email them your request. You may also be able to email them directly, but the form autofills your account information so I suggest using it.

When you contact them mention that Verizon and other carriers are offering 9.95 charges for additional lines and that should do the trick. Good luck.

AAP is 9.99 online.

thats for a fair and flex aap. "add a phone for as low as $9.99"

You can get a free and clear AAP for $10 though if you speak to the right department.

I wouldnt switch if you make use of the grandfathered options and use enough minutes that you will need a 2000 plan.

thanks for the tips.when i got my power vision phone a few months ago i had to get a power vision plan which i did. i get 500 text messages/mo. and a credit for the $8/Mo. charge. i get 7pm and the $5/Mo. credit.TEP is$6. i get a 15% Loyalty, 10% flyer and 10% credit union discount.sprint treats me pretty good. if i buy the other phone and pay $20/Mo. and contact e-care afterwards isnt it possible they wont reduce it to $10?clo since the 10% flyer and cu discounts were just added should i wait? thanks for all the help.also i am very friendly with the CSR at my sprint store.can he facilitate the $10 per month AAP for me.thanks.

Well good luck, I spoke to 7 reps and all of them refused to give me the AAP w/o changing my plan, which would cause me to lose ALL my g/f'd perks: Free p2p, free vision, free pv w/credits, free utl'd texts, free n/w @ 6 and free roaming on all 4 of my lines.

A $10 AAP code that is compatable with a free anc clear plan exists. I just had a line added at $10/month maybe 3 months ago. If the rep wants the credit for a new activation, they will find the code!

Dan, thanks for that tip. i will go see the rep at the store and ask him to see if he could find that code. btw, is a store rep able to pull that code up and add it to my account?

that im not sure. I had a "regular" rep find it, and im not sure if it was a "regular" code or a "z" code that can only be applied by retentions.

Update....i gave the rep at the store all the info that i learned from this thread and especially from Dan. the rep made a call and was told a third line is 19.99. with a little more prodding i got the 9.99 price! on my FNC Plan. i got my Dad the black katana for 279.99 less 150 auto rebate and an 80 mail in. the rep at the store is great.always treats me very well.a TIP is to speak to a rep or csr with as much info as you can get from SprintUsers.com! dont always rely on the rep to know everything.
