Sanyo 9000 screen turns black?

My sanyo 9000 screen every now and then turns black for like 20 seconds. then it says searching for signal and comes back to life. Its usually when battery is low but occurs sometimes when the phone is fully charged. anyone know the reason>

is it basically time to look for sucessor to phone> if so whats the next generation of the 9000

power cycle the phone. sometimes i get that too

powercycling the phone won't fix it -- there's something loose in the phone -- i had the same issue, tech fixed it for me and haven't had the problem since

Yea Ree's right, i took the battery out and shook the phone a bit and put the battery back in and made sure it was in there tight, then never had that problem again.

Man, my mighty 9000 does that to, but only when I close the flip slighty harder than normal sometimes. It goes black for about 5-8 seconds, then says "searching for service." It's highly annoying!! :irked: Normally, I'd take it into a Sprint Store for a checkup, but I'm gonna hold out for the M1, so I can deal with it.

Mine did the exact same thing for the first time last wednesday and then again last night. the first time when i closed the flip and last night when i was using opera mini. i've never dropped my phone so i don't know why something would be loose in it. if the battery were loose, i'd imagine it'd be the hard reboot instead of the soft reboot we're getting.

yes when you close it harder than usual, it jars whatever is loose in there to cause the 9k to freak out. my tech fixed it :)
