Been looking for a quality horizontal pouch/holster for the Katana but everything I've seen at the stores is crap and seems like it's designed to fit everything from a brick to a TV remote. I just want something that is horizontal, slim in design and stays on the belt sturdy. Any helps is appreciated.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but it's sort of what I have (I forgot exactly where I got mine from). I use the swival clip to hold the phone horizontaly on my belt, and it fits the Katana snugly keeping it thin. You can use it for all purposes with the case on. The clip is sturdy and I have no qualms about keeping it in place.
The problem I have with it is that when I open the phone the middle part of the case "rises", and makes it cumbersome to talk with. So, my solution was to purchase this

along with an lcd screen protector film. This also has a swival clip so you can still clip it horizontaly, and I think it will still stay thin. I'll give a review of it once it arrives. I hope this helps.

I've posted this in another thread, but I said I would write a review so I will. Like I said, I did not like the leather type case because the middle part "rises". Also dust collects between the case and the screen, and if you don't take your phone out and wipe it with a microfiber frequently, the screen will get scratched as mine has.
The clear plastic case looks nice, except that the bottom part of the case covers the swival things for the charger and the headset, making it impossible to use unless you tear those plastic things off. I haven't decided what to do yet, but hopefully someone will come with a better style quickly.

you could try cutting a little slot in the plastic case for the tabs to rotate into (the whole tab spins around its mount point on the phone rather than just folding it down to plug the cord in)

Thanks for your reply, but it's a hard plastic case making it pretty much impossible to cut. :(
