Summary:
Cliphanger has two products, a holster and a case they call a “shield” made of translucent plastic reviewed here. Available colors are clear, smoky and pink. The kit comes with a self-adhesive “hook” that you can clip to a belt loop, or various parts in your car. This review only considers the “shield”. For the RAZR, the shield is a two piece, one piece snaps on the hearing/screen piece. The second fits over the base and completely covers the outside of the phone. I choose not to use the clip as I just wanted a cover for the phone to protected in my pocket. They also make it for other phones.
Pros:
+ The smoky and slate gray RAZR make a color combo.
+ Nice cuts outs for the speaker phone, buttons, external display, and camera.
+ Securely fits over the phone and protects from most abrasions from dropping or simply being a pocket with keys or other sharp objects.
+ Doesn't have the stud for a belt clip.
+ Doesn't detract from the thin profile of the phone.
+ Inexpensive.
Cons:
+ The only place the shield doesn't protect the phone is along the hinge as leather and other synthetic cloth like materials can.
