Sprint to offer Gmail™ through new downloadable Java application and on-deck WAP site. (http://www2.sprint.com/mr/news_dtl.do?id=14062)

So you guys know I support Google and most of the things they do, so I was excited when I saw that Sprint is offering this application for FREE!

I downloaded it and it seems to work really well. Of course, I don't use gmail as my primary account so I don't know how much I'll be using it, but maybe I should start.

Just do a search on the vision site on your phone for gmail and you will be able to download it with no expiration date.

Enjoy!

Wirelessly posted ($(WiDevice): Samsung-SPHA920 AU-MIC-A920/2.0 MMP/2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

I found it Thursday while looking thru the apps content manager. Its a lot better than using the wap link.

ya... i didn't think it was anything new... well "newer" anyway. the one you get from the sprint catalog has a 9999 day expiration..... kinda wierd, unless that's the code they have to put in for infinite.... either way... i'll stick with the one i got from the google site....

autoprime and I noticed this with some other content in Sprint's catalog recently. Usually content that doesn't expire doesn't even have an expiration descriptor line in its JAD file. It seems that maybe now they're throwing this 9999 days thing into their Single subscription downloads.

So does that mean it will really expire in 9999 days, meaning it's not truly unlimited??

What a bummer. :p

I made a Gmail account just for the application cause its way better that Yahoo Beta.

Yeah, Yahoo Beta is <slow motion> laaaaaaaaame!

What is up with it only allowing you to view about 200 characters per page??

Yahoo used to be my primary account, but they're just not doing too well or innovating. Not that MSN is, but I haven't switched to start using Gmail yet... perhaps I should start.

The whole conversations and starred things are unfamiliar to me right now.
