hi.. i requested the government discount 2 months ago and i received the bill today but i didn't see any discount applied to my account so called them up and the CSR said she saw the note on my account sayin that since i'm on a Sero plan i am not eligible for the gov discount and it was rejected.
i had nextel before with sero and they gave me the gov discount also.
Why Sprint is refusing to give me a discount?
should i request it again?

I would say try again because I just activated one of my 2 phones with Sprint on the SERO plan, and called about the employee discount. All I was asked was for my employee verification person, a phone number, and my personal email address to advise me when the discount takes effect. She said it would take about 60 days to take effect (maybe)... Hope this helps!

A discount on Sero is something they wouldn't give me however I didn't try that hard to get it. All those instant credits I got discouraged me from trying too hard!  :haha:

It depends on the rep. You might have better luck with e-care.
The SERO site and SERO T&Cs still do not say it is prohibited, so if you really feel like fighting for it, knock yourself out.

They're full of crap. I have my 25% corporate discount on my SERO plan. Go to a store with your badge/ID and have them do it for you - that may be another route to go. That's what I did with my work badge :D

some people got their discounts on sero plans in the past there were not entitled. things have changed. business reps no longer setup the discounts. all discount requests get entered into a form and submitted to an offline group that processes the requests. the offline groups follow the rules as they don't have harassing customers badgering them to get discounts.

Its offically not supposed to be given. Like anything with sprint, it does happen sometimes.
