HI...Im new here and this probably been already answered, but I would like to know if it is possible to shared my broadband internet connecting using my sprint home while calling home(which calls are alrerady free). In other words, I would have a modem in my computer and the computer will shared the internet as dial up sharing?, any help would be appreaciated, just could open so many possibilities

A router is designed to share broadband internet between computers.

I'm not sure what you are asking though.

You want to be able to use internet at the same time you are using sprint to home?

No...I want to know if it is possible to call my home number and shared my internet connection, just like if I was dialing in from another computer into my home server

The answer is mostly no. I think what you are suggesting is to set up a dialup modem on your home line and be able to dial into it using your phone. There are several obstacles to this scheme that make it impractical, though not literally impossible. First, an analog dialup modem would limit you to about 30-50kbs, which is about 1/2 to 1/3 as fast as Sprint's Vision (1xrtt) data service, in other words, it would be slow. Worse, your phone can't actually make use of the standard 56k analog modem (although a standard PC/modem could), but instead you would actually be limited to about 14kbs, which is the max speed of the 2G CDMA modem feature (pre-Vision) -- in other words, it would not be just slow (30kbs), it would be VERY slow (14kbs). Finally, Sprint would STILL bill this as a data call NOT a voice call (it can tell, and there is not really a true analog modem in your phone, only at the Sprint central office), so it would incur a 39cent/minute data call charge, NOT the "free" or voice call status that you were hoping for, unless you use a VERY old Sprint 2G phone (pre-Vision) and subscribe to the old Wireless Web option ($5/mo + airtime), but I doubt you can even get that option now from Sprint.

So, in short, no... at least not that would make it worthwhile...

Like phone as modem.

That's a different service. You could probably do it, but Sprint will charge you for it.
