I can't believe it, I just called the Sprint Sero line (not inphonic), gave my friend's email address, then asked for the700wx. She said that the 700wx will not be available through SERO. I asked if this was a permanent thing or temporary as if they do not have them yet and she said no, the 700 will not be available for SERO plans. Is this possible? I find it hard to believe, but on the other hand it's been almost two months since Sprint has released this phone and no listing on the sero page.

That really sucks but I know that there have been people on here who managed to get a 700wx with their SERO. I believe that some of them bought the 700p and then called and complained until they were able to swap it for a 700wx. Some went into Sprint stores to do it as well. I think it really is just luck of the draw.

That was my next question. I wonder if there will be problems with me getting a regular power vision phone on SERO then purchasing a 700wx and swap it out. I think I would go crazy if I heard sprint say, "Sorry, we can't activate your 700wx on a Sero account since it's not available through the website" .. I've heard it all from these guys so I'm just trying to prepare.
Anyone else know if this would be a problem ?

There is no reason why you can't purchase any phone you want and activate on your sero plan.
I think the rep meant that the 700wx isn't available from their list of choices.

I'm thinking you are right. Just to double check, OBVIOUSLY the 700wx is a power vision phone right? I know they end up changing plans if it's a regular vision phone and I don't even want to go down that path.
I guess I'm back to plan b and that is to get the SERO plan with a pv phone then later on buy a 700wx outright and have it activated on that plan.

It's a powervision phone. Sprint won't change your plan backward to vision. They want everyone on powervision.
I remember a ton of old posts where people were complaining that the reps were saying they had to switch to PV because the new phones weren't compatible.
PV supports V, but not vice versa. Meaning, if you have PV on your plan, but you have a non PV phone, you will get low speed service.
If you have a PV phone, and regular vision, "technically", it's incompatible. Which is bull. But Sprint has their reps telling everyone otherwise.
