I'm having issues with the t9 input on my new samsung a900m. Using compound words is incredibly difficult. On my last phone (a sanyo mm-8300) when entering compound words, t9 would recognize the first part of the word, I'd press the right directional key, then t9 would recognize the second part of the word, and so on.
For example, if I wanted to enter the word "superman", I would want to enter "78737" for super then press the right directional key to advance and then enter "626" for man to come out with the compound word superman with no spaces.
With the a900m, when I press the right directional key when texting, it automatically inserts a space when all I want to do is advance to the right WITHOUT entering a space. I have the "insert space" option set to off in the text options menu but this doesn't help. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to help me out??

you could just teach the phone the word "superman".
if you dont know how to do that do this. (how i do it on my fusic).
in abc mode type:
superman
then go to t9 mode:
hit the space button and it should be learned.
now try to type superman with all the keystrokes you would do 78737626.

wow, thanks everyone for the quick responses.
my problem isn't specifically with the word superman. I just used that as a reference. I want to solve this problem in general so I don't have spaces automatically inserted into all my compound words. It gets really annoying having to move the cursor back and forth while trying to enter a compound word, especially after a few drinks...

Sure, you try to teach a regular a900 a word :p
