I'm so confused, I have talked to 3 different reps at sprint, and every time they tell me something different ...

rep. 1 said: if you get power vision ultimate, you pay 25 as oppossed to 15/month but you get to use the phone as modem (he mentioned in low tone, "even tho you are not supposed to, sprint won't know unless you use it every day for long periods of time) or you can keep your 15/month but it will only be access, not picture mail and video mail or the tv and radio (I had those when I had the 15/month before upgrading my plan)

rep. 2 said: yeah power vision now includes picture mail, video mail, tv and radio for free (which is useless because you get mostly previews and not actual channels) but cant use the phone as modem, I can add for $40 extra a month (RIP-OFF)

rep. 3 said: well you can technically use the phone as modem but you have to pay a plan of $40/month OR you can have power vision for 25/month (there's no 15/month anymore) BUT YOU CANNOT HAVE BOTH PLANS ON THE SAME PHONE

What is going on ... who has the right info, I don't trust them anymore ... what do I do ???

I believe rep. 3 gave you the correct info. I don't think you can have the PAM plan and the power vision plan on the same phone.

Neither of them are correct. Phone as Modem and Powervision are 2 seperate plans and you can have both on your phone. Some phones however you can use phone as modem without purchasing the plan otherwise known at tethering.

ok, so let me ask this.... when i sighned up for my plan or even changed it for that matter (online) i never saw the PAM plan offered. However i am able to and on occasion do use my phone as a modem, would i have to call and specificaly request it? ( not that i am planning on doing so)

well, i've got the new sanyo 8400 and i tried using the conection manager and it tells me that my username and password is incorrect... any suggestions ? I feel that 40 a month for PAM is a complete rip-off, I mean 25/month is already a rip-off and you cant use your PAM with it ... Sprint is getting bad :irked:

Yep, sprint connection manager .... here's the rest of my story ...

about 5 minutes ago, i got off the phone with sprint, I was so upset I called them and clearly asked for retentions ... because i wasnt the main user in the account (it's on my mom's account) they wouldn't transfer me so i told them that my ph line (out of 4) was the main line as they can see the usage (over 2000 mins a month) and that according to the payment history (I have used my checking acct) told them I was the main user, so they finally transfered me to retentions ;) I got on the phone with a sweet lady and I patienly explain my situation, after a few minutes going back and forth I told her that I was hopeless and I didnt know what to do ... so to sumarize this thing I was able to get:

20% off my plan(per phone charge) + 500 free txt msgs on all my phone lines, and added PAM for 39.99 on my phone with free vision ultimate pack for the next 2 yrs so ... I'm back to happy :p

the Power Vision Access Pack 15 dollars- includes unlimted Power vision, Sprint TV.
the Power Vision plus pack- unlimited power vision, Sprint TV Plus, Picturemail.
the Power vision ultimate pack- same as above except you get Sprint TV ultimate.

They all come with Sirius Hits 53.

Sprint PAM package- unlimited use from the handset and as a modem. additional options such as picturemail, sprint TV, must be added ala carte.

The exception to this is an kind of deal retention may give you. But these are the standard packages and options. none of them include any kind of text messaging. Casual fee for text messages is 15 cents a message in and out as of Oct 1st.

I have the PAM plan for $40/month. I think it's $50/month now but they run specials all the time. I get unlimited data, i.e. phone as modem, streaming music through PTunes, web, etc. This does not include Sprint TV. Now picture mail...I have only gotten one picture mail and it was a link that opened the regular browser. So, I don't think I would have been charged for that. I guess I will see on my next bill.

you have a direct number to retentions?

just dial *2 on ur handset and tell them you want to either cancel or simply retentions ( I said someone at CS had told me to talk to retentions and it worked )
