When is print going to bring back ONLINE activation of cell phones. Before I could go online and switch out my cell phone right on SPRINTPCS.com, but not anymore.

Wow. I never knew that they had the online feature. That's pretty cool. I'd like to see it back as well. It could come in rather handy I would think.

Online activation was only available for 2G phones. It was decommed a couple years back.

As far as a new feature, security is always an issue, but the concept is not new and has definitely been brought up for discussion and feasibility.

they used to have online activation and esn swaps available. the last time i actually saw it was back in 2000 or 2001..... it was really convienient. I was surprised when i recently purchased a new phone form fry's and went home to activate it, checked the site and saw that there was nothing that let me do it online...

Not that it matters, but OLA (Online Activations) was shutdown in 2004. Seems like it has been gone far longer then that, but since it only worked with 2G phones the usability wasn't much.
