So I just bought the 8400 and am no longer using me A900. I am really new to phone technology and synching etc. , and I apologize for the stupid question. But how do i transfer my contacts from the A900, manually? Or can i connect it to my computer somehow via USB. If anyone at all could help me out that'd be great! Thanks guys
Matt
...how do i transfer my contacts from the A900, manually? Or can i connect it to my computer (http:///#) somehow via USB (http:///#)...You can transfer many if the files directly between phones (http:///#) by Bluetooth (#). However, you can transfer all of them with the USB cable (http:///#) so that is probably easier.
1. Put the microSD card into the phone as per the manual.
2. Co to Menu>Tools>microSD>microSD Setting>Create Folders.
3. Move your Samsung (http:///#) files to your computer (http:///#).
4. Download (http:///#) and install Sprint (#) Connection manager, http://www4.sprint.com/pcsbusiness/downloads/Sprint_PCS_CM_v029.msi at www.sprint.com/downloads (http://www.sprint.com/downloads) . Connect the USB cable (#) to the phone (#), then plug it into the computer (#). Drag the files from the computer into the appropriate folders. Exception: Ringers cannot be loaded by dragging them into a folder. They must be loaded using www.Sprintusers.com/focus (http://www.sprintusers.com/focus) or some other software.
For Bluetooth method see www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=114812 (http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=114812)

there should be an option for send all> if not then i would think that one at a time is better than punching all of them in manually.

Once you have all your contacts in a single vcf file (http:///#) in the Bluetooth (http:///#) Exchange Folder of your computer (http:///#), you can load them to your data (#) card (Menu>Tools>Bluetooth (#)>[select the device] Browse>Get>[select the vcf file (#)]. You have a manual. The same manual also exists in the User Guide in my signature below. To load the entire contacts file, take a stroll through the Table of Contents. Then go to page 147.
