Sanyo 8400: How do I clear NEW VOICE DATA???

For the past 2 days I've had the NEW VOICE DATA icon stuck on my main screen. It looks like a block head w/ a sad face :lol:

Anyway, I've checked ALL my messages and it still won't clear. Anyone else have this problem???

i always thought there was an option to clear it in case it got stuck but i can't seem to find it on my phone. maybe it was my n400. i dunno. did you try restarting?

edit: okay i'm not sure on the UI of the 8400 but i found a clear icon option on my 5500 in the voicemail section of the messaging menu.

I've tried that but it doesn't clear. Restarting didn't work either *** mate?

have a new message left on your voicemail and check it. maybe it just needs a little budging.

Is it a voicemail icon? Try calling your inbox and listening to the operator (or whoever/whatever says everything) say theres no new messages. The voicemail icon sometimes gets stuck on my 8300 and doing this usually clears it.

it's in the call screening menu.

press the side RL button to bring up the voice recorder. then go to play>call data. you can listen or erase.

if call screening is on by accident, you can go to menu>tools>voice services>screen call>auto>then turn off.

it's basicallly a built in answering machine on your phone.
