Anyone know if PAM will work with linux? I've got the a900 and just installed mandriva 2007. I'm not sure where to look to set it up.

Short answer: As long as you have the PAM service option ($40/mo) enabled on your account, you should be able to setup a normal dialup connection in whatever UI you are using, (KDE should have something in their menu, as should Gnome).

The more complex answer is that you need to make sure the right serial port is being used. Normally, it shows up as /dev/ttyACM/0 or /dev/ttyACM0. You would need to use this port in your dialup settings. Just set it up the same as you would on windows: #777 and whatnot. Search around, you should get it :)

Well, I was able to get it working- once. When I tried to dial in again, it said the device was locked. Any ideas?

Here is what it says, in the terminal:

kppp: ERROR: write() in modem::writeline failed

any fix for this?
