SPCS mail in Yahoo! Mail

Is there any way to get my SPCS mail sent to my Yahoo! mail? Is SPCS a POP?

I have been getting a lot of spam recently into my SPCS email which is odd, because I NEVER use it. Anyhow, when I go to delete the crap out of my SPCS mailbox, it hangs up my system. Anyone else having this issue? I don't like opening the email on my phone cause ya just never know...

I'm not aware of a way to access PCS Mail as a POP (not to say it isn't possible; I just don't know). As an alternative,
in "My Online Tools"->PCS Mail->"Settings and preferences," there is a Notification link. That section has the option to forward email to another address. Note, however, that forwarding email will still leave a copy on Sprint's machines.

I guess the real problem is the spam. A very drastic step is to change the email address. "My Personal Information"->"Power Vision User Name" has a section to change the (Power) Vision user name. It seems changing this will change the username.

Also, deleting the email doesn't require opening email. If all the email gets forwarded off, there is an option to delete all email in the current folder (or something like that). That may work?

What Username do I use? my phone# or like name@sprintpcs.com?

It should be "name", where "name" is the same name as your Sprint address name@sprintpcs.com . And you'll need the password for that email address account. Then you feed those 3 pieces of information (pop.sprintpcs.com, name, password) into Yahoo's external POP server fetching service. For me, "name" and "password" is identical to my Vision account name and password.

you are much better off opening up an email you are not sure about on your phone than on your PC...there are no known virus threats for regular cell phones, at least no malicious ones that have proliferated...if you had a smartphone, particularly with Symbian OS, it could be another story...
