Question re. Setting up A900 for PAM - "Invalid Lock Code"

I'm trying to set up my new A900 for phone as modem use, and as such, I tried accessing the "Field Serv" menu which is well documented in this forum as being accessed from Settings > Display > "0" > Field Serv. I don't have any problems bringing up the Field Serv menu, however when I enter the 040793 code, I get a message saying "Invalid Lock Code". Does anyone know why I am getting this message and what I need to do in order for my phone to accept the code?

I was going to ask this question as well (the 040793 isn't working for me neither). What is msl?

call cs and act like u are gonna program your phone. the 6 digit # that u are given is the MSL.

I had a time wrangling the msl from the rep after being asked suspiciously many times "Well, why do you need it?" At 1st I played dumb telling her that I wanted to tweak my phone. She refused saying that it's only if I want to program my phone. I persisted after awhile and just bluntly told her that it's my phone and asked her why was it such a top secret thing for me to receive my msl? :bang: After some hemming and hawing and muttering about how she's going to notate it on my account that she gave it to me being that I'm really not supposed to have it, I got it :)

If you get the error "your account cannot be validated" when making a call, the first step to troubleshoot is to program you phone.
