Currently have myself, wife and 2 kids on on a F&F 1500 minute plan/7pm nights (kids have unlimited texting). We use approximately 1000-1200 minutes per month.
We pay $90/month total for the plan.

So Im thinking of adding a line for the $10 and using this phone as a home phone.
I am also considering moving up to the next block of minutes if needed.

I have a couple of questions.. I wanted to put the 6pm nights option on that line, but is that still offered? And can that option be placed on only one line?

As far as a phone goes, what would i be eligible for? I would need something a little sturdy and long battery life.

Also are there any features that Sprint offers if you tell them that a line would be used as a replacement for a land line?

Thanks for any help.

Well if you all have your own cell phones, you technically wouldn't need to get an additional one for the house, but to go that way certainly is cheaper than paying additional for the home phone. You would be eligible for $150 off of a new phone plus any in store or online rebates that are advertised in your area. There are no special features that sprint would be able to offer when replacing a home phone. as for the battery life, if you go online and look at the phone details it tells you the battery lives for standby, talking, and roaming, so you can compare those. also the reps at the store should have some info on that, but i would recommend going online for that type of info.

Thanks Lamuchachaloca, I was hoping to set something like this up to save some money.
But after looking at the cost of the line, purchasing a phone, adding 6pm nights and the possibility of going over minutes or increasing the plan minutes I think at best it would be a simple trade off.
