Is there any way to copy text messages from my Sanyo 8200 phone to the phone I am looking to buy today, Samsung A920? I will not buy the new phone unless I can copy my text messages along with my phone book, which I know they can transfer. Thanks for any info and help.

well for the phone...actually they cannot transfer even the phone book.
My buddy had the 8200 and upgraded to the Samsung A920...and he said that they cannot transfer the contacts to that phone from the 8200...for some reason the 8200 is not compatible to transfer contacts and is the only phone like this....
As for text messages...you could try extracting them with a data cable..and uploading them to the A920 w/the data cable...I know you can get them off the 8200 ...just not totally sure you can get them ON the A920

The 8200 can transfer contacts just fine in BitPim. I think it's the new Samsungs that are the issue. They can't transfer anything to or from my A940. I'm almost had enough of Samsung phones already.
