It would be nice if all colors come out and all instock at the same time. I'll check with some sprint stores to see if they might get it soon. It doesnt happen ofton but my Sprint store got the 9000 the same day that it was availabe through tellesales. I try to avoid tellesales if all possible.

I'm pretty hung up on Samsungs and have never had a Sanyo, so I don't know if I would ever actually go for this one. I don't usually like the looks of Sanyos, but I do like the looks of this one.

I do think it would be cool to have a blue phone for a change. I've yet to see a white phone that I thought looked decent. (That's just my own opinion, so don't be hostile if you happen to like the looks of a white phone. They are kind of rare, so in a way, that adds a coolness factor.)

I read so much on this forum about how good Sanyo quality is, that it makes me curious. Also, when I finally got my hands on a Katana, I liked it a lot better than I expected to from the pictures.

I was set on getting the blue but I'm just not sure if I like it so I'll probably just be safe and get the black because I know I will like that.

I just looked at my wife's 4920 and it looks like the green led's light up the entire key. One think that kinda annoyed me with I think every Sanyo phone with blue led's is how they don't light up the entire key. I prefer blue or white led's but green is not a deal breaker for me.

Oh no, they can be activated as soon as they are checked into our system, which is usually the day they arrive. Last year my store didn't really "know" the official A900 launch date so we just started selling them as soon as we got them (turned out to be a week or so early). So yea, it's do-able though they're probably NOT supposed to be sold. Good luck and happy hunting!

Wow you guys make me really want this phone.. Right now I only qualify for 75 off and I am sure I won't get much for my 8300.. If I could get 50 for my 8300 plus my 75 I may get it.. I think I want the blue it's differen't from my blue 8200... I don't know if I would want white or not i have to see it but it would be cool and everyone would be looking at it.. I'll deal with the green light cause I've had the 4900,8200 and 8300.. I don't even kow if Evdo is in my area yet.. But someone said it let them do Phone As Modem with out having a PAM plan... Ok I just got off the phone with Sprint.. They offered me the 8400 for 97.99 he said he would give me my 150 a few months early making it 129 and i said that's still a little steep and he said how about 97.99.. Then we went round and round about vision and how the 8400 won't work on my 10 dollar plan and I like my unlimited Text Messaging even if I don't use that many it's there.. So he kept me on hold for a while and said how about if I give you unlimited power vision for 5 bucks and you can get unlimited text for 8. So I was paying 10 and now will pay 13 no big deal. I just cancelled picture mail last month so I was saving 5 bucks anyway so 3 more won't kill me.. So I think I got a good deal and of course I don't mind resigning for 2 years.. So now all I have to do is let him know when he calls me back if I want it or not.. I said letme think about it and also I want to go into the Sprint store still and decide white or blue.. But If I take his offer I have to get the phone through him which is ok by me.. I can wait a few days in no hurry.. So I think I did good...

Blue or White don't know.. Now I have to go to the Blue Tooth section and see which one to get.. I need a small one and i heard some have caller ID on them but I usually know who it is by the ringer.. Rose

I am getting the blue one in the next couple days.. Yes I think I did good getting it for 97.99.. The Sprint store told me there was an extra 30 bucks off the price so that is probably why the Sprint Rep on the phone went from the 129 after giving me my 150 early to 97.99.. Plus I am going to let them buy back my phone for 25 bucks my friend said she doens't want to learn and mess with a new phone right now she will keep her 8200 a bit longer.. Now to do a search on bluetooth headsets..

Rose, get the Motorola H700 headset, it's hot. I use it with my LG CU500 on Cingular. Not one problem. I'm about to see if I can work it with my 8400.

I got my first black 8400 replaced yesterday and I was going to get the blue one but decided not to because it's a tad to loud for me and it's slippery. If it was the 5500 blue then I would've got it. Also another blue 8400 user thinks the blue shows scratches more then the black and white. I think the black has a different feel to it and to me it's not slippery.

I didn't think about the blue feeling slippery but I just looked at the blue and white really quickly in the store and had to leave for work.. I thought white would show a scratch more and show like the paint chipped off I don't know but I liked the inside of the white better then the black that is inside the blue but it's ok.. It was a cool looking blue compared to my 8200 blue..

I am not a fan of these face mask things but I liked the ones for my 8200 I bought them all.. And I've had green keys all this time I am not going not buy the phone cause I would rather have blue keys.. I want good speaker great reception and all that 1st on a phone... But thanks I may do the Motorola headset... Someone at work said they like Motorola the best but I read about Plantronics 655 on C-Net or the Voyager 510.. I have the black faceplate on my fusic and clean it constantly (that faceplate has the same feel as the blue 8400). I get annoyed by fingerprints so I'm trying to not touch the front of the phone, LOL. It takes hard work.

Yes headsets.. Someone just said the H700 got staticy when moving 5 feet away.. I just don't know which blue tooth headset to get.. I ordered a pink Motorola H700 then cancelled it they didn't have it in stock anyway and it was from overseas Motorola wouoldn't support it..

i previously had the a900...the battery on that phone is the pits...i've always been a sanyo fan though...I've had the 8100, 8200, 7400, and the 9000.

It's not the best looking and it's big but it's the loudest headset I've ever had and it's the most comfortable to my ear. Also the battery life is good. The on and off button is annoying because it's small but I deal with it. I think you can find one around $40-50 bucks.

btrav13 do you use your H700 with a Sanyo 8400.. I wanted the H700 until SprintPcsGuy said his got staic on it after moving 5 feet but he said it worked with his other phone well.. I have to go buy one tomorrow so I have to read up on reviews and take peoples opinions on here and just go get one.. My phoen was in front of my door when I got home tonight from work. I was told to leave it off for 2 hours then turn it back on.. It is charging now..

The only headset i had was the sony ericsson 608, can't remember the exact model name, it worked ok, and it was clear and fast to pair with my a920, i lost it so i can't test it.

By the way after I activated my phone they said wait like two hours for the phone to work and then to wait for like 2 more hours for Power Vision to work. But they were both working in like 5 minutes so I started using them right away. Is that ok you think?

I waited the 2 hours and turned on my phone.. I am still adding contacts to it so I haven't done anything else yet.. It did say updating at one point netowrk settings or something and said it would take a minute and it did.. I am going to bed though so I wont really get to play with it till morning.. I have to add all my ringers and backgrounds and get opera mini then go buy a headset which I still don't know what to buy yet LOL!! This is my 2nd MM phone I had the 8300 but I wanted blue tooth and more space and I may or may not use the card will see.. Rose

I forgot how to get Opera Mini and it doesn't list the 8400 so can I choose the 8300? There is a JAD and a Jar file do I want to send those both to my phone and can I do it through focus? The 8400 does have that click the 8300 didn't and I think the 8200 did right? It's 3am so I have to go to bed.. I want to set up some more stuff and read my book some in bed but I am too tired.. It can wait till morning.. I like my bluw 8400 the front is nice set up different then my 8300. Looks like the 8300 LCD out side was bigger and I like the speaker on the front of this phone it's cool.. In eed to set up my shortcuts and try out internet and texting... There's always tomorrow I am off..

To get Opera mini on your 8400 just start up vision and input this url address: http://mini.opera.com

It will say: "Your phone model could not be detected." That is probably because the 8400 is only a week old. Scroll down the screen and it will ask if you want to download the high memory or low memory version. I downloaded the higher memory version. It is 112 KB. Opera Mini works great on the 8400.

I went to bed and was playing with it a little and I sent a text to my home e-mail and then Iheard my mail notifier going off out in the other room real loud so I came out here to turn down my volume.. But Isent one to myself on my cell to see it also..I could've sworn on my old 4900 the text scrolled.. But anyway this phone seems really awesome.. I went to on demand and added my zipcode for weather and added my movie theaters it's neat.. I added some favorites and I think I added messaging but it's there on the main menu and if you scroll up it's there like on the 8300.. But you can't scroll to the right for contacts it says contacts where on my 8300 it says web.. So I need to find out how to get to web.. I'll figure it all out tomorrow but I did go to a webpage and yes it came up faster then the 8300 it was fast... I like power vision.. Night, Rose

I used the h700 with the treo 700 and now the fusic and it has had very few problems. Every now and then I get a static complaint and I reconnect the call and it's fine. But just about every headset I've had has had minor issues like that.

Imay check out the one Sprint told me about for 89 I can bill it to my account and she said they have had great feedback on it.. She even gave me a mdoel #on it but I couldn't find it online.. She thought it was Samsung but it wasn't.. It was white she said.. But so far I like my phone.. I have to add more ringers and a few more backgounds then I am done.. I love how this holds more space.. I don't know much about using the card yet.

Keep in mind Sprint has that 30 day return/exchange period, so you can try several headsets during that time. Start with the h700 and work your way backwards if it doesn't work. (Backwards in price that is).

I may try the white small she was talking about she said they got great feedback on it from customers.. if I get the h700 my phone is blue I kind of want the silver one with the blue on it not the black one I am picky since I ca't have the pink one in the h700.. I need firmware B so I will make sure of that.. I just want to get one today on my way to work and mess with it at work.. I really love this forum and appreciate everyones help..

Sorry it's too late to edit and add to my above posting.. Ok I just called Sprint back to ask about this white 89 dollar headset they told me about.. She said it was a Samsung but the model # didn't match up to one when they gaveme it the other day.. Turns out it is the WEP200 they gave me some other # that was in there computer... The lady said she got several in 2 days ago and is down to only one and that they are selling better then the H700.. She said the price actually went up to 99 but she will credit my account and hold me this last one if I come in there today.. She said people are really liking this headset.. I think I read good reviews on that one too some people had that one on here I think.. So that is what I am off to get.. I hope I like the looks of it and it fits good around my ear I hope it's not one that goes in your ear... Thanks everyone for your help.. Rose

I swapped my black 8400 and got a blue one yesterday. I like the blue because it's different but I think I like the black texture better becaue it's not slippery and it doesn't get fingerprints. I'll probably get a ebay holster when there available. Hopefully ebay gets a holster that you don't have to take the phone out so then I wouldn't be touching the back of the phone because the holsters on it. I think the Sprint holster will scratch the phone with time.

I had a holster once with my 8300 and it was hard to get the phone in and out and I think I dorpped it once taking it out.. But now of course I wouldn't have to take the phone out so I may think about getting one again.. I just put the phone in my purse but if I am walking at the park or at the gym a holster wouldbe nice or I can just use my pocket.. I love the 8400.. I have to finish my voice tags since it dialed so well with my headset when I said home. I tried it like 5 times worked every time.. My thing is I want to say Mary then I want to say Mary's Cell will it catch that or should I word it differen't. I have 2 or 3 people I want to record there name twice one with there cell.. Where can you view other facemask online? I saw a Cnet clip on cellphones and they showed a pychodelic one with the 8400 white with colors I think it was.. My blue one came with black and I don't use it but once I put it on it wasn't bad but I still don't use it..

Just wanted to compare the black and blue 8400. My 3rd 8400 still has a bad camera and I'm not sure if I'm just going to return it and wait for the M1 or swap it out through a rep. If swap it out I'm not sure if I'll get the black or blue since I like them both. lol
