I still have 7 days left before my 30 day trial runs out on my F&F $30 plan. Im not planning on cancelling but im not as satisfied as I thought I would be. I didnt know that taxes on the line would be so high and I keep getting dropped calls when making calls inside my house. At the moment I have the $15 PV enabled but i plan on cancelling that as well. though it would be nice to have it was $5 or free. I mainly want free texting though or mobile to mobile for free.
Should I email ecare or call and ask for free 500 text messages a month? Or should I try for a SERO account. Or both? I guess I should try for text messages first and maybe 6pm nights?
You should try to get the Sero plan, which already includes PV. Perks are for loyal customer, not new ones.

Since I was out of contract, I decided to ask for perks instead of going with a SERO plan. That's because with the options that I would use, the plan would be more expensive than what I have now.

Ok, but do you think they would give me 500 free texts to satisfy me?

Well, I've been with Sprint for over 7 years, and finally, I got something half decent. With your 30-day trial, I really don't think Sprint will give you anything along this to stay. You can try, but now that they are getting tighter and tighter, I have my doubts. You can always try tho!

Yeah, most of us have done our time and paid our bills diligently. These perks are just deserved. Definitely try for SERO though. Good luck!

It's a long story. Basically, they seem to screw with my account every 2 years when my contract is up. Why? I have no idea, but I always seem to get a ****ing rep that doesn't care, doesn't read, or just wants to screw with customers. Almost clockwork. Predictable, almost like your watch.
After the ****ing rep doo doo'ed all over my account, Sprint wanted to work with me since they do too, understand that once grandfathered codes are gone, they are gone.
I wanted to upgrade my phones to Powervision, but they couldn't find a code that will reduce my Powervision codes to a reasonable amount. I wasn't going to just switch to Powervision just because a ****ing rep screwed with my account. Around the same time, my work (we resell Sprint service) goes ... here's a Merlin c201 data card, fully paid up. Interested? Sure, why not? Here ... have fun! We'll take care of your monthly bill and the cost of the card. In a few months, we'll upgrade your Merlin c201 card to a EVDO card and no additional charge and no switching fee. Take it if you want. Awesome. Coolness factor ... A+!!!
So, in the long run, I scored free 6pm's and free voice command for all lines on my account. An unlimited data card drops in my lap(top) ... I am sure that the higher ups got wind of my unhappiness with Sprint.
Except for the 3 lines that I am paying for unlimited SMS, Sprint also included 500 SMS messages per month. For the line that the ****ing rep screwed to the max by removing grandfathered codes, I got an additional 15% off every month as long as I don't cancel service.
As for the rep that screwed up my account, he probably got a raise for a job well done. The customer gets less and pays more. This will generate more revenue for the company (in theory) and make the customer more upset and mad. So, the customer will tell everybody how screwed up some reps are.
Was it worth the additional $3/mo for a pissed off customer? Only Sprint can do the math and really see if it is worth the additional $3/mo if the customer gets free 6pm's ($10/mo value), free voice command ($5/mo value) and 15% off (about $7.50/mo value). That's Sprint math for you. Go figure.
For the ****ing rep that screwed with my account, he ought to be tied up, dumped in a drained pool and replaced with a million fire ants and left there until my account gets fixed back to where it was!!!

call sprint tell them you are a college student and they will give you 300 text messages free for 1 year. As far as that sero crap you can take that anytime.

Actually, they called me and asked if I wanted to sign for another 2-years. I am like ... sure, make me an offer. Of course, if the offer is too good to be true, it probably is, but I went with it anyway. All in all, I think I came out okay, but it wasn't easy. I did sign, but the flight wasn't smooth to another 2-year contract. I really don't know who and how Sprint uses to hire people, but it seems like they ought to have more accountability. They are super finger happy to sign you up for another 2-years, but at the same time, they go and take stuff off and can't put it back. All you get back is sorry ... we screwed up!!! Right Shurlock! You really screwed up big time!!!
In hockey, you screw up, you sit in the penalty box. In football, you screw up, your team gets a penalty. With Sprint, you screw up, you get a big fat raise and recognition for a job well done!!!

I've been with Sprint since 97 and I'm having a hard time getting anthing from them. If you get something from them after thirty days let me know what you said, I must be doing something wrong.

Dale, i can relate, in the two 3 years that i have been with sprint there hasn't beeen one month that has gone by after recieving the bill that i have to call and get credit for all these charges. I am living on the canadian border and often roam into canada so i added the 15dollar roam into canada plan (it just uses my anytime minutes and doesn't charge me any extra roaming) . well being in canada everyweeekend somehow the system doesn't "approve" of the 15 dollar roaming plan and charges me the 25 cents a minute . so i get bills that run about 400-600 dollars on a montly basis when they are suppose to be around 130 (with four business lines, 1500 minutes, txt msging, 15 perline for canada roaming, free nties and weekends after 6)
finally retentions gave me something i can live with after many calls,
89.00 1500 any time minutes nationwide, free txts, free nites, free canada roaming (they actually waived the 15 dollars a month on all lines), free add-a-phone fee (20 dollars waived), upgraded my ppc6700 (6 months old) last week to a new treo 700wx aand gave me a 20 percent discount on each bill so my montly statement for next month should be around 89-95 dollars range (fingers crossed) the guy also said something about throwing in an extra 400 courtesy minutes each month but didn't review that with me before we ended the call. <------ but all this work took about 8 different reps about 5 hours total time on the phone with sprint, dealing with ignorantF###ing reps that dont knwo what they are talkign about, or know that there is a country north of us called "Canada".
i got a free 2 month Power Vision package, which i dont seem to use alot, and i dont intend to pay 15 dolalrs a month for such service cuz i dont use it, but i am hoping for everything i've been going thru i can get more than what they are giving me now
esp that data card!!! for $0 / month! ;-)

Get whatever works best for you. For me it was/is all about being as cheap as possible. I signed up, switched to SERO, got 500 free texts, got 27%NVP, got $`00 credit that I didn't ask for and 10% loyalty all in the first month

Well that would be the ideal plan for me. I emailed ecare and got denied for 500 texts. Tonight im going to try to switch to sero. I dont see a reason why I cant get sero. I have a sprint email address too. After that, ill see if i can get free text messaging.
